9 is usually the coldest setting. Turn the dial all the way. The side with the click is off. If it does not click, then turn it all the way and listen for the compressor to turn on or off. What I just told you applies only to the freezer. The numbers on the dial for the fridge should be the same.
tempreture inside freezer should be at 0 inside fridge would be 38 these are both optimum tempretures if you just received delivery there is no sense in you researching how to fix or taking anything apart it is warrantied and if you were to try to fix the unit you would void your warranty best thing to do is call them monday morning Thanks again Rick

Hi, From what I can see from my manual, 6 is the coldest temp and 0 is off. We have just had ours on 4.5 and the diet drinks have exploded. So I suggest that you keep it under 4.

Most controls work with the highest number being the coldest. Keep in mind that once you adjust that setting you should allow 24 hr for the refrigerator to "equalize" to it new set temp. Hope this helps
