Last couple of days bottom rack of dishwasher not been clean on 65o wash, having emptied and run the machine empty etc it seems that whilst there is water being pumped through the roof mounted vents and to the "spinner" attached to the upper tray, the spinner attached to the base of the machine is not getting a) any / b) sufficent water pressure to make it spin...im guessing the feed is blocked?

SOURCE: Pump won't stop draining

you will almost certainly have a build up of water in the base. remove the water and retry. check to see if limit switch is not sticking or has possibly gone faulty.failing this, your board is faulty.

SOURCE: Bosh dishwasher shu3322uc/22

check for leaks where the the top rack plugs into the rear. it might not be sealing. If your unit has the ability to change the top rack height check in the other position and see if it works. In my Samsung (Bosch in disguise) model The tube to the top rack plugs into one of two holes in the rear, depending which rack position I use. Something covers the hole not in use. Bosch uses two seperate pumps for washing and draining. So I don't think the pump could go partially bad. (This happens in other brands when the solenoid gets stuck between pump out and recirculate)

SOURCE: check water light is on

I had the same problem! First disconnect mains power, then switch off the mains water to the water input hose, and disconnect the hose. Disconnect the waste outlet hose from your drainage. ( this will release some water from the hose ends, so a washing up bowl would be handy ) You will need to tip the dishwasher on to it's back, be carefull not to damage the waste outlet hose, and watch out from more water spillage. Next remove the two screws on the base metal cover, and spring out the cover from the two side clips, the cover can then be removed, you should have a screw holding an earth lead remove screw and lead from cover.
Inside the bottom of the dishwasher you will see a small electric pump fitted to the side of the dishwashers drain, it has two wires with spade connector on them, disconnect these from the pump noting colour of the wires for reassembling. The pump has the same diameter hose as the outlet hose. Next carefully remove the rubber elbow pipe from the pump and hose end this will need to be washed with clean water. Then to remove the pump, press and hold down the locking tab, where the pump is fitted to the drain, and twist the pump anti-clockwise. The pump will then release from the drain. Inspect the pump impellers for damage, and that the pump has free movement, also check condition of the rubber O-ring. Inspect inside of drain for broken bits of china and glass, remove and clean, also check the outlet hose for any blockages.
( run some water though the hose backwards from the water tap and collect it in a bowl from the pump end of the hose ) Reassembly is the reverse of the above, check electrics inside have not got wet, if ok switch on. The check water light should now be off.

SOURCE: upper rack spinning device fails to aquire water and does not spin

Jeff, When a dishwasher acts like this, the most common problem is a blockage in the sump area, underneath the lower spray arm. Removing any/all filter and covers down there (screws will need to be removed) and inspecting with a flashlight, remove all debris (watch out for broken glass!)  Also, inspect the "impeller" that is turned by the wash motor for damage or being loose while you are down there.  Reassemble and test out.
If problems remain, the next most common problem is a failed wash motor.  It is common over the years for it to weaken as it heads towards total failure.  These motors, when they fail, can not be repaired, rather they must be replaced.
Please post back with what you find, OK?

SOURCE: top rack not cleaning, possibly spinner not spinning?

Try twirling the spinner by hand to see if it is binding. If it looks ok then there could be something plugging the water passage to the spinner. If you have access to a water hose you could run water into that verticle passage pipe and see if there is an obstruction. If so it can be taken apart for cleaning.

Why does my lg dishwasher smell

The dishwasher will develop a smell due to bacterial growth in the machine. Thoroughly clean the lower section of the washing compartment, where the water drains to the pump, removing all metal plates etc.Once you have ensured that no trapped foodstuffs etc are present, reassemble the machine parts.
Pour 2 cups of white vinegar into the washing compartment and run the machine on a washing cycle empty and do not add any soap powder. Run the machine for a couple of washes thereafter and check whether the smell has been eradicated, if not repeat the above procedure.

Why doesn't my Bosch SHU43 c06uc dishwasher have any cleaning force?

With your dishwasher empty, roll out the bottom rack. The feed line for the upper spray arm runs from a pump outlet directly behind the lower spray arm spindle. This tube runs up the back wall of the dishwasher and mates with the upper rack when it is pushed in.

This feed tube simply snaps into place in the bottom of the machine. It is a high pressure line that makes an immediade 90-degree bend towards the rear of the unit. They have a tendency to pop out. When and if it does pop out you get almost no water coming out of the upper arm and you lose effective pressure in the lower arm, too. The cure is to push that feed tube back down firmly into the port until you hear it snap into place. While you have the lowere rack out it is a good idea to clean the intake screen out and check for any debris in the intake well.

Top wond (rack) doesn't clean. Dishes are very dirty at the end of the cycle. However, the bottom rack is fine......please respond asap if possible. Thanking you in advance. Connie

Connie,, make sure in loading the dishwasher you have room for the soap and water to make it to the top rack, (older models) on newer models you have a sprayer just under the rack make sure the sprayers are working fully,, to clean them you can use a hard brush and vinegar,, let stand for 5 minutes and rinse off, also, you can run vinegar ( white) through your machine,, to help clean the jets,, use in place of the soap , then run a couple of times empty to remove and let over odor

What is the best product to use to clean your dishwasher??

i have used a couple of products with good results. running a gallon of white vinegar through machine empty just pour it in the bottom. Or try a large package of Tang drink crystals emptied into the soap dispenser and run it through the cycle. the acid helps to clean the machine. hope one of these helps.

Not washing dishes properly - clean filter instructions...

Would help if you give make and model number.

However it usually involves taking out the bottom assembly with the spray arm, strainer etc. and cleaning it out manually.

You also could try running it empty with a couple of cups of white vinegar - if it is grease that should clean it out. If it improves but not completely repeat it.

Also if you have a drying aid dispenser make sure it is not empty.

Maytag dishwasher quiet series 400. Dishes have hard stuck on grit and food particles after rinsed and dried.

Very common problem is soap build up in these machines. Try putting it into a wash cycle with no dishes, and no soap. Let it wash for about 5 minutes, and then open the door. If you see alot of soap suds, then soap build up is the problem. Try doing a couple loads with no soap, and no dishes, and throw a cup of vinegar into the machine halfway through the wash. Repeat as necessary. This should solve your problem.

TOP RACK DOESN'T RINSE

I would suggest you buy some CLR and run it through a full heavy cycle with the washer empty. Be sure to put it in all dispenser areas and sprinkle about 1/4 cup into the washer before starting.
