How to convert VCR to DVD

no easy way to do this unfortunately. You either need to connect your VCR to a DVD recorder and record it directly onto DVD or use a device such as this http://www.dx.com/p/easycap-usb-video-capture-adapter-5707 to connect your VCR to your computer and record it onto your computer that way.

Will a VHS from America play in my LG V181 video/DVD player

Hi
All American VHS recordings will be in NTSC system. If your player is compactable with NTSC system, you can play the VHS in your system. If it has no NTSC syste, the tape will play, but colour problems and vertical rolling will occur. OK.

Found many family TXK E-HG TC-20 tapes. What device do I need to see these?

The TC encoding usually stood for VHS-C type of tapes. These were created so that VHS type manufacturers could compete with the HI-8 type of camcorders that came out years ago. They were essentially regular VHS tapes that were shrunk down in size to allow them to build smaller camcorders. You could either play them back directly from the camera itself, or you could use the adapter that came with the camera that allowed you to play the tape back from a regular VHS VCR. The adapter was the size of a regular VHS tape, and it had a lid on the top that you would open and drop your VHS-C tape into it.

If you still have a VHS VCR you could watch the tapes using an adapter. If you do not have one you can search on the web for both the adapter and a VHS VCR if need be. Depending on the size of the city you live in there may be a conversion outfit that can take your VHS-C tapes and burn them onto DVD's for you. Prices varied quite a bit on that service so you should do a little shopping around if that is the way you want to go.

VHS Video Tape - Picture Roll.

Picture roll is caused by the frame rate being out of sync with the play back device. If the tape was recorded at say 25 f/m and is being played back at 26f/m. If you can, adjust the frame rate until the picture stands still.

Audio Problems playing VHS tapes with Denon AVR 1910

Did it EVER work as expected with VCR audio through the HDMI or are we working through that right now assuming it can?

I don't have a detailed manual, but the rear panel clearly shows some analog-only outputs (and NO digital ones) for the section called DVD/VCR. Internally, I'm sure there are proper analog-digital-converters for recording VHS to the native DVD-R, but VHS VCR's are NOT inherently digital audio devices so I'm pretty sure you need to run an analog RCA pair for the VHS video.

Have digital TV have 3 yr old sony VHS VCR DVD player combo

A DTV converter box will take digital broadcast signals from the antenna and convert them to a format compatible with the VCR. You will be able to record programs received through the DTV box on your VCR if you could record analog over-the-air programs before the digital changeover. You can use either the RF output or the component output from the DTV box to input to the VCR.

How to record a VHS tape to a DVD disc

Read your manual first to make sure the unit will do this.If it does chances are it won't record unless it has a decoder built in.Most VHS tapes have macrovision protection that prevents you from copying them.It will however, record homemade VHS tapes. There are decoders out there you can buy to enable you to copy VHS tapes.

Tv/digital converter box & vcr-dvd hook-up

I have a vhs and dvd player all in one
I have a converter box hooked up to my tv and vcr , dvd player combined
I can play my movies on the tv. ok.
you have to have your tv and vcr set on channel 3. if that is what your main tv is set up with. Or 4 if you have your tv set up with that.
Mine plays ok. My settings are for channel 3
My suggestion would be to check your hook ups. maybe they are not hooked up correctly
I had to go to www.google.com and did searches to help with hook up.
I can also record station I am watching with vcr on vsh tapes. I do not have a dvd recorder.
I found out that you have to have 2 converter boxes hooked to one tv., in order to record on on station while watching another. I have not tried that, as I don't have 2 converter boxes for one tv. I found that by doing google search also. Good Luck

Convert NTSC VHS video tapes to DVD PAL

If you do not have an adaptor to play the tapes to a standard VHS viseo player, you can use the camera as the player by connecting the AV out to a DVD recorder. There are hundreds of models in the market, and do not worry if it is NTSC or PAL because 99% of DVD recorder accepts both.
