Determine the coefficients of the equation y=ax^3 + bx^2 + cx + d so that it will have critical points at ( 1, 0) and ( -2, 27).

I will give you a solution for a ti-83 Plus or ti-84 Plus calculator as they are very similar.

You should hit the [stat] or [stats] button as I forget which it is. Then hit [enter] which will bring you to a stats list editor of some kind. You will want to enter the data for your x-axis in L1 and the data for your y-axis in L2. Once you have completed your lists, hit the [stat] button again and then click [right] or the right arrow in order to move to the section of calc. from number 4 down it will help create a graph of that type of function. You desire a cubic function so it is number 6, so you hit [enter] on number 6 and then you will be at the home screen with CubicReg already written. You just have to complete the statement and it will do it for you. hit the [2nd] [1] and then the comma button, then [2nd] [2] and [enter]. that will do it for you. Also if you want the equation to appear in your y= menu, you can hit [2nd] [stat] and then search for the Y1, but make sure you have a comma between the L2 and the Y1.

How can i store formula in ti-90 titanium?

There are a number of ways you can store a formula.
The first is to store is in y Vars. Just input your single variable equation into the graphing screen, then trace to find the value.
If you want to store something more complicated than that, or just store some plain text, creating a non functional program is then next best way.
To create the program: Hit the apps key and then scroll down to 7:Program Editor then hit enter Create a new program (name it whatever you want).
Type in your text and when you are done hit 2nd then quit
It should display the text your previously typed in.
To display the program: Hit the apps key and then scroll down to 7:Program Editor then hit enter Thenscroll to 2: open, hit enter. Select your program then press enter.

Under the Table, I only have an X axis and no Y, but I need both. How do I create a table for the Y axis as well?

ok,
I assume that you are attempting to make a scatter plot of some sort. Here's how:

Instead of hitting the [table] button. You should hit the [stat] or [stats] button as I forget which it is. Then hit [enter] which will bring you to a stats list editor of some kind. You will want to enter the data for your x-axis in L1 and the data for your y-axis in L2. Once you have completed your lists, hit the [stat] button again and then click [right] or the right arrow in order to move to the section of calc. from number 4 down it will help create a graph of that type of function. lets say you think it is linear, so you hit [enter] on number 4 and then you will be at the home screen with LinReg already written. You just have to complete the statement and it will do it for you. hit the [2nd] [1] and then the comma button, then [2nd] [2] and [enter]. that will do it for you.

If I am mistaken in my thoughts and you have a graph that you need the points of, type the function into the y= menu or solve a few points and do the above suggestion.

The calculator will not allow you to plug-in values for the y within the table menu.

I hope this helps.

Everytime i type in the graph section and hit the graph button it says INVALID DIM. How do I fix this

You're probably trying to graph a function that does not involve stat plot features. You can correct this by turning off the stat plot features. Press "2ND" "STAT PLOT" and then select 4:PlotsOff. If that doesn't do it, please reply to this post and we'll go on from there.

GRAPHING PROBLEM! I HAVE A MIDTERM TOMORROW AND I NED IT TO WORK!

make sure all plots are off.  to do this, 2nd-Y=.  Highlight selection 4 (PlotsOff), and press enter twice.  It should say Done.
Next, press the ZOOM button, and select number 6 (ZStandard).  This will restore your window settings to default.
If those fail, press 2nd-+ to bring up the Memory menu.  Press 7 (Reset), and select Default.  This will not delete anything, it will just restore your settings.
