My hp officejet 4255 cartridge ink has finished, i m unable to find new cartridge and even this printer cartridge is not listed in the hp site, where can i get the new cartridge from, my work is being hampered, help!!!!

Black cartridge: HP 56
Color: HP 28
Just ask for those numbers at your computer shop, they are pretty standard and I've never had problems getting hold of them?

GYou must be using HP56.
Have you refill your cartridge at all?

If you did, gentely wipe out the cartridge circuit part with Q-tip (with bit of alcohol).
And wipe out the circuit part in the printer where cartridge goes in as well.

And try back.
Sometimes by having some dust or bit of ink make cartridge unreadable.


If you used brand new, do same thing to cartridge circuit part.
Otherwise, there got to be some circuit shot happen in printer.

For your reference, HP4255 is not a new model however has not cause major problem.
Good practical and durability is good.


It seems like you are out of ink....especially black.

Pls refill or get brand new one.

If you would like to save money, try refill kit by "ROADINK".
Not only they are easy, but also the printing quality is good.

Where do i find productdoc. for info on the hp c4180. am having problems with printing after replacing new cartridge
hi

make sure to remove the protective sleeve off the cartridge, then insert into ink tray of printer.
if printing is difficult, remove the ink cartridge and shake it gently and then place back into printer.

go to this site to retrieve the manual.

Enter '4255' and do the search.
Download the device-driver software.
Install it.
Print a "test" page.
