Screen comes on for about 10 sec then goes dark still has green power light

What kind of TV is it?

when it power on, your monitor power led turn to green or orange? if its turn to orange, your video card migth be the problem..

Look for shorted out transistors (four, c5706/5707) in the inverter backlight transformer driving circuits.

may the battery of your psp is damaged or its your psp that drain the electricity out your batttery

Try this:
1) turn on the TV
2) from the remote control press MENU 2,4,7,0 then ENTER
3) tv will state on screen that it is INITIALIZING
4) when done press the front reset button.
5) should be good to go!

power supply is bad.. also you need to check your convergance.

you need to replace the power supply. The fan sound is the fan for the power supply and not the computer. for cheap parts or used goto headgap's. They know what you need and probably even help you replace it yourself.

Howdy folks. There are only 3 things that can go wrong with a screen. Since you both are experiencing the same symptoms, let's ask the same question: When the screen goes blank, is the power button still green or is it orange? A green light indicates a good power supply and a bad screen. An orange light indicates a bad power supply but a good screen. I used to take them apart and try to fix them but they just aren't worth the trouble because they are so inexpensive nowadays.
Either way, I'm the bearer of bad news. It looks like you'll both be getting new screens. Please don't hold it against me when you rate my solution! ;-)

inside the pc there should be a green light. called flea light. if its not on.. then id say motherboard or power supply are bad.
take power cord off. and hold power button down for 10 ecs. then reconnect and retry. i think its abad psu.

i think your PSP is bricked... try to have it unbricked...
