Hi,

Firstly, you don't get Freeview through your Sky box. If you are watching Freeview channels then it's from an aerial connection. If you are getting a 'No signal' message on your TV, the first things to check are:

1. Check that you have selected the correct input source on your TV. If you are using a 'co-ax' connection (standard aerial cable) you will have to select this manually from the remote. If you are using a SCART connection, all you need to do is turn the Sky box off and back on - but you've done this already.
2. Check the connection from your Sky box to your TV - disconnect it, check that the cable and connectors aren't damaged then re-connect it.
3. Check the cable between the dish and the Sky box. Unplug this from the Sky box and reconnect it.
4. Check that your viewing card is correctly inserted. This is unlikely to be the problem as it doesn't usually result in a 'no signal' message, but remove it and re-insert it anyway.

Finally, it's very windy tonight and this can affect the Sky signal if your Sky dish isn't properly secured. It's possible that your dish has been moved by the wind and is no longer aligned with the satellite. If none of the above work, you should inspect the dish as soon as conditions are safe enough to do so. If you can move it by hand, it can probably be moved by the wind.

Try these tests and post back and I will try to assist further if the problem has not been resolved.

Regards,
BElectric

Hi my Son has upgraded his old tv in bedroom to a Bush smart tv model no DLED32287HDCNTDFVP. I installed the channels first time. I have freeview channels except I cannot get the Sky channel to show?

When you say you have freeview channels, and then say you cannot get Sky channels this is not enough information that you have provided, but
I presuming in addition to freeview channels you also have a Sky Satalite receiver which is no longer connected to your Tv or your sons tv Either way Sky satalite have 2/4 lines which means you can have four viewings providing multi rooms is bought from sky, and additional boxes are fitted.
Or you can have 1 sky box main Tv and no the spare cable feed at the back of the sky box you can feed another cable to another tv from that same box but it will be same channels But you can now change channels using magic eye receivers etc, in any room.

But the question I believe is you had freeview but no long can receive sky channels the information is a little vague but hopefully I have helped a little

I have a panasonic viera 42 in plasma. It has a built in freeview receiver. It is in the bedroom and receives a signal through a booster from the main sky box. I can get free view channels on it but can't...

switch tv to analogue tv and auto tune on tuning menu making sure sky is on. It should find it around channel 69. If quality poor then change output frequency to a lower channel. You do this with sky menu and instruction book. Info is changing RF output in book, or google it.

Sky plus wont record and watch another channel at the same time says no signal

If your Sky Plus box is not allowing you to record one channel while watching another and is displaying a "no signal" error, there could be a few potential causes for this issue:

Insufficient signal strength: Make sure that your Sky Plus box is connected to the satellite dish correctly and that the dish is pointing in the correct direction. Weak signal strength can prevent the box from tuning in to channels properly.

Dish misalignment: If your dish is not properly aligned, it may not be able to pick up a signal from the satellite. You can try adjusting the dish yourself or contact a professional to align it for you.

Technical problem with the box: There may be a technical problem with your Sky Plus box that is preventing it from recording and watching different channels at the same time. This can be caused by a hardware malfunction or a software issue.

Subscription issue: Make sure you have the appropriate subscription package that allows you to record and watch different channels at the same time.

Box is full: If your hard disk is full, the sky+ box may not be able to record or watch another channel.

It would be best to check all the above points, if the problem persists, contact Sky customer service for further assistance.
Why is my Sky saying no signal on some channels?

Faulty Satellite Cable
There are all sorts of things that can cause a cable to become faulty like age, condition, and whether it's damaged and weathering/ water ingress. To fix- A new coaxial cable or two new coaxial cables may need to be installed for Sky+ boxes and Sky Q boxes.

Lost our freeview. New TV in bedroom (Sharp LCD, LC-19SH7E-BK), which has freeview and was working fine. However, we set up a magic eye so we can have SKY (which we can now use through channel...

if you have connected your sky box as per instructions, putting the aerial coax to it and a fly lead(as in a male to female coax as used on a vcr to tv) from the output to the tv's aerial input, then disconnect the aerial from the sky box and put it back to the tv. The skybox will weaken and even loose the signal.

Panasonic TX P50V10B Plasma TV

In order to get any of the Freesat channels, you need to connect a Satellite dish to your TV. If you have a Sky dish, you simply need to run an extra Cable from the LNB from the dish and connect to your socket on the back of your TV.
In order to get Freeview channels and Analogue channels, you need to connect a aerial to the back of the TV.
There is a menu option for the TV to start straight to the AV input (your Sky HD box). It is Menu > Setup > Other Settings > Power on Preference. Select 'AV' for your TV to start on Sky HD.
Also even if you have your TV to start on TV, when you turn on your Sky HD box, it should automatically switch to the Sky box.

Lost ITV channels and C4

I think you need to get Sky because it will give you 100% coverage of all terrestrial channels. You may need to retune the television otherwise just get sky

Tuning to pick up sky feed

Sounds like from discription the sky feed is set up for analog channel 6. With my TV-HVR-1600 card, there is an option in the wintv application when you click the menu button in the application that says channel suite. If you select this option, you should find and option for analog source. Select analog source in this screen and you should be able to manually add channel 6 in the box at the top of the analog souce screen. Also if you have the sky feed connected and you you click the scan button on this screen, it should detect automatically is the sky feed is on.

Sky upstairs

Yes on the back of the box there is a RF2 output...

run a coaxil aerial cable from there to your required TV, you then need to tune the 2nd tv to the sky box.

You can also buy a 'Magic Eye' and a 'extra remote' this will allow you to change channels from the second destination with only 1 digi box.

Down point is that you have to watch the same channel on both tv's.

a second card and box and a dual LNB will allow you to watch seperate channels.
