I have a 1995 Eagle Summit 2 door coupe with a 1.8 and recently the "check engine light" came on. I have taken the car to four different ASE certified shops including the dealer and no one can get a reading on their scanners. It has an OBDII system and half way through their scan test it has a message that says there is a link error. Is there another way to get the computer codes without going through the OBDII system? The connector has 16 pins but only 6 wires going to it. I have also used a volt meter so I could count the number of sweeps but I just get a voltage reading and no sweeps. I am at a loss here and would greatly appreciate any help or ideas you could give me.
Thank You.

If you still get this answer..I am a nurse..inherited my parents 1995 Eagle and the check engine light has been on for years. They took it to garages too and they said the car is fine!
Hi
I know on the Talon model, if you cycle the ignition switch ON OFF ON OFF ON within 5 seconds, then the power loss/check engine light will flash out the ALDL trouble codes with a 4 second pause in between each trouble code as follows:-
lets say for instance trouble codes 23 and 45 were stored. They would be displayed like this:-
lamp illuminates for 2 to 3 seconds as a bulb check then goes out
lamp then flashes 2 times, pauses, then flashes 3 times
4 second pause
lamp flashes 4 times, pauses, then flashes 5 times.
Worth a try?

Annoyingly, the '95s have the OBD II connector, but are not OBD II compliant. With the ignition off, ground the top pin on the wide side of the port (pin #1). Turn on ignition (don't start it), the check engine light will flash 2 digit codes in order, then repeat.

I do it but no thing, is really anormal, when I try just to accelerate is going to variate. I mean up and down

I appreciate the helpful tip about turning the ignition off and on. This also works on the older Chrysler,Plymouth,Dodges. I failed to mention in my earlier letter that I did try this but it did not work either. I am sorry for the over sight but thank you so much for responding so quickly.
