Looking for a replacement remote for an LG DV276. Any ideas?

you said that you do have sound but it is very low so thatt suggestttt either the volume is turn down or you need ampified speakers to push the sound or you check the speaker wires as well. One thing that is getting attenion is sound bars with a remote. just a thought.

in most electronic devices there is a small fuss situated in side this could have blown. however if your device is still coverd have the shop repaire it for you

You need to make your player Region Free:

1. Using the remote control open tray :Press 0, 0, 0 (Region selection appears)
2. Select 0 for no region (ie. all regions)
3. Press pause button on remote control.
4. Turn Unit OFF and back ON again.
It should now be region free.

This should work

Ensure there is NO disk in the tray first !

Using the remote control open tray

Press 0, 0, 0

Region selection will appear.

Select 0 for no region (ie. all regions)

Press pause button on remote control.

Turn Unit off and back on again.

It should now be region free.

Test your disk.

Using the remote control open tray
Press 0, 0, 0
Region selection will appear.
Select 0 for no region (ie. all regions)
Press pause button on remote control.
Turn Unit off and back on again.
It should now be region free.

LGs are relatively easy to make region free and therefore should be able to play any DVDs. Below is one of the methods:
1. Using the remote control open tray
2. Press 0, 0, 0
3. Region selection will appear.
4. Select 0 for no region (ie. all regions)
5. Press pause button on remote control.
6. Turn Unit off and back on again.

I bought 4 dvd's from the states that wouldn't play in Australia changed the region and it is now playing

I picked up a LG DV276 DVD Player here in Australia but I am from the United States so I own region 1 DVDs. I unlocked my new player by instead 1. Open the tray. 2. Press 0 0 0 0 on the remote and a Menu will appear. 3. Press 0 for region free. 4. Press pause and power off.

I can play everything now, Aussie and US DVDs. Thanks LJ66.
