Then you must have a charger problem. If you have a digital voltmeter or access to one. Set it to 200 volts dc and plug the leads into the two outter holes of the charger port located under the front of the joystick. Without the charger plugged in you will be reading the current voltage of the batteries. Now plug the charger cord into the wall socket and the reading on the meter should go up to 26-30 volts. if it doesn't change the reading after a few minutes then the charger is bad. Now you can get an off-board charger for your chair somewhat cheaper than an on-board charger. If you have a friend or neighbor that has a chair or scooter with an off-board charger you can borrow it for a few hours to charge your chair until you can get a charger of your own. Check on e-bay for any good 4 amp charger for a power chair it would work fine to charge your chair. Hope this helps you

Is there fuses in the M91 Pronto Onboard charger

I had this exact same problem after having my M91 in the shop. The repair man said that the onboard charger was bad, so he sold me an offboard charger to charge through the arm. That didn't change anything. I finally took it apart myself and discovered that there was a cord leading from the onboard charger to the batteries that the repair person had left unplugged when he installed my new batteries.
What I'd thought was "fast draining" of the batteries was actually the batteries self-charging overnight (which they will do a little bit if you let them sit). Of course, this might not be your problem, but I'd say at least look at it as a possibility.

When I plug in my Jet 3 Ultra 4500, it seems to charge - the charging lights come on - but it never charges. In fact, I can't get it to move at all, even when plugged in. I think I am using the...

when you plug in the charger do you get any amp reading on the meter located at the rear of the chair near where the charger cord plugs into the chair. When you plug in the cord the meter should deflect and read 6 amps or so. If you aren't getting any deflection of the amp meter then either the batteries are dead or the charger is bad. If you have a voltmeter you can set it to 200 volts dc and plug the leads into the charger port located under the front of the joystick Plug the leads into the 2 outter holes of the port with the charger plugged into the wall you should be reading 27-30 volts. Unplug the charger and you will be reading the battery voltage and fully charged they should read 25-27+ volts. If you aren't reading 25-27 volts without the charger plugged in you will need new batteries( anything less than 10 volts will not let the chair turn on) if you aren't getting 27-30 volts with the charger plugged in then the charger is bad and you can get or borrow an off-board charger and charge the chair thru the joystick port Hope this helps

Could be the charger or the charger port. Do you have the offboard charger that plugs into the joystick or an onboard charger? I would suggest trying to find an offboard charger from a friend or your provider that you can borrow and plug it into the charger port under the front of the joystick to see if it will charge the batteries. the meter will not work if you use an offboard charger the lights on the charger will turn green when it is fully charged. when the charger is plugged into the joystick and you turn on the chair the lights should scroll indicating you have the charger inhibit function working and hopefully the chair is charging. If you can charge the chair with the offboard charger then look into buying one and using it instead of trying to get the onboard charger working Hope this helps

Chair dont take a charge

Get new batteries If your batteries are 2-3 years old its time for new ones. You can check the output of the charger by using a digital voltmeter Set the meter to 200 vdc and plug it into the two outter holes of the charger port with the charger plugged in you should read 27-30 volts. and with the charger unpluged you can aslo read the voltage of your batteries. fully charged they should read 25 -27 volts. If when charging you don't read 27-30 volts then the charger isn't working and you can get an offboard charger cheaper than the onboard just charge thru the charger port on the joystick. Hope this helps

How do I know if my jet 3 ultra is charging? I just bought a used one today and do not have a manual

The chair should have a meter on the rear panel where the 9 pin connector for the joystick plugs into the chair when you plug in the charger cord the meter should move up and the lights on the joystick should flash indicating the charger is plugged in. When the chair is fully charged the meter should read zero or bounce up and down. Hope this helps

How do you know if the battery is charging.

To find out if your battery charger is working on your jet3 .
First thing you do is make sure its plugged in
Second locate your meter next to the plug on your chair
Third when plugging in the cord make sure your meter moves to the center of the meter.

If this works congrats your charger is working.

You'll have to get to the battery terminals while they're charging, and then you can measure the charger voltage, if any (around 12 v).
It sounds like your charger is bad, and you can order one from this site:

Good luck, and hope this helps you.

Jassy 1103, will not start charging the battery.\r...

the 1103 uses an onboard charger. Charger's life span is about 3 years; some fail in 6 months, some in 6 years keep in mind. You can charge the 1103 using an offboard charger which are available for about $50.00 on Ebay. Search for electric wheelchair charger. You want one that has a 4 to 6 amp rating.

The offboard charger has a 3-prong connector on one end and the other plugs into a grounded wall outlet. Plug the charger into an outlet and the three prong connector into the female three prong connector located at the bottom front of the joystick. Give it a good overnight charge and it should be back up to snuff in the morning.

Batteries won't charge w/ on board charger-+

sounds like blown fuse which is at rear of chair. may be underneath rear cover. this fuse wont keep the chair from working, however, it will keep the charging from working.
