My washer dryer is showing that its still locked after i turn it on and onpen the door

You may have locked the machine by accidentally leaning on the buttons. I can't see a proper clear photo of this machine's control panel, but there may be two buttons on the front of the machine with a picture of a lock underneath them (on mine they are marked 'option' and 'extra rinse'). Hold both in at the same time and this will deactivate the lock.

Zanussi washing machine zwf14581w . err e40

Hi from retired Englishman in SW France,

Zanussi's 'E40' states 'door open, interlock, wiring or main PCB'. Hopefully it is just a problem with either the door solenoid/lock or the 'door closed' sensor requiring a service engineer's attention.

If this has assisted and/or clarified the situation for you please consider a 4 thumbs up on our rating.
Thanks and good luck!

Zanussi washing machine zwf14581w . err e40

Hi.

Error 40 means : "Door Error"

When you get error 40 it is usually because of a defective door interlock.

Try disconnecting power for five minutes. If the error comes back the parts to be tested are door interlock, wiring or main PCB. The defective part must be replaced. Parts and quote on repair can be obtained contacting Zanussi customer service at the number listed on the owners manual.

Regards.

Ginko

Power going to washing machine but wont start

The door (interlock) is likely faulty & needs to be replace. The door probably doesn't lock at all because the (interlock) is not energizing.

Zanussi ZWF 1430W Err message displayed and all buttons locked.

I am not a repair professional. I am just a 78 year old man who has been making his own repairs for about 50 years. Therefore the washer ID doesn't mean
anything to me. It's been about 55 years since I had experience with front load washers. However I can refer you to www.applianceaid.com where they have very good and complete trouble shooting and repair information on front loaders. I think you'll find what you need there. Don't worry about the timer, they hardly ever go bad. Good luck with it. If I have helped you, please rate my advice on fixya.

240v 50Hz Zanussi zwf14581w wont start code EH1 with 220v 60Hz

Hi,
EH1 is a fault code that relates specifically to the frequency of the electrical supply. The power board is designed for 50Hz and will notice if it does n't get what its looking for.
You may be able to purchase a new main PCB that works with a 60Hz supply. You would need to contact Electrolux to ascertain whether this would be possible.
