Yes, Windows Media Player cannot support MOV. Unless you import some MOV codec for Windows Media Player, then you can play mov videos on Windows Media Player.

1). Add MOV codec and update others exclusively for Windows Media Player:
* Launch WMP and click "Help"-> "About Windows Media Player"-> "Technical Support Information"-> "Video Codecs"to view all the codecs and file formats supported by the respective codec.

* To let Windows Media Player automatically instead of manually download and install updates and codec enhancements from the Internet when available, just follow the easy steps here. Launch WMP and click "Tools"-> "Options"-> "Player" tab -> "Automatic updates".

2) Add MOV codec using 3rd-party program K-Lite Codec Pack.
The installation of K-Lite Codec Pack is quite easy as well. Download it from its official website and follow the instructions there.

You can also try some other free mov players such as Leawo Blu-ray Player, 5Kplayer, DivX Player and so on.

First of all, you can't rotate a video without some expensive software installed on your computer and even then, the results will be poor at best. Download Quicktime from Apple to play your video...it's a free download.

What DVD video formats are supported by BBK? I need to copy video files from my PC to show on TV. PC shows these videos in Windows Media Player. The videos were taken by Cannon camera in "MOV" file format.

Supported Video formats:
VCD,SVCD,AVI
DIVX,JPG

As you see no support for mov files
You'll have to convert these mov files to avi...
Go to http://www.radgametools.com/bnkdown.htm and
download the Rad Videotools. This little program helps you convert
all your mov files to avi. Burn the avi files on a cd and you should be able to play them on your dvdplayer..

Importing movie onto PC with Vista

I think you should install a software program that has the capability of opening mov file. This would become a plug-in for other programs and enable them to interpret it as mov file. or click on your movie file from camera and change its properties to be opened by a certain software that can open mov file and use it as the default program to open that file.
