I recently tried to use the scanner on my officejet 5610. When I hit 'scan' the screen will tell me 'No Scan Options Refer to device documentations. Press OK'.
I have lost all the device documentations so I need a little assistance if you can.

cannot download scanner
The scanner on the HP OfficeJet 5610 might stop working due to various reasons. The reason may be the result of an error in the scanner compartment or the scanner software. The following are some of the troubleshooting procedures
1. Try restarting both the computer and printer to retry the scan operation.
2. Ensure that the connection from the printer to the computer is proper. Check for damages in the USB cable (wired) or the status of the network (wireless).
3. In case of a computer operating on the Windows OS, install and run the HP Print and Scan Doctor application to diagnose the scanner issue automatically. Utilize the Fix Scanning option in the application to initiate the process.
4. If the printer is still facing the issue, remove all the software related to the HP OfficeJet 5610 printer from the computer. Click on the uninstall option after selecting the software in the installed applications list in the control panel of the computer.
5. Download the latest driver and software here (link) and install them on your computer. Ensure that you download the file according to your operating system.
6. Open the View local services panel on the windows computer to check the status of the Windows Image Acquisition Settings. This must be enabled in order to perform a scan using the printer.
7. Alter the WIA dependencies by utilizing the Command prompt on the computer.
8. Perform the scan operation with other means such as the scanner app.
9. Take the printer to the nearest service center if the problem persists.
