I have an HPB209a all in one printer. It is squeaking. I tried cleaning the bar the cartridges ride along but that didn't help. I can hear the squeaking as the cartridges ride along the bar while printing. It is getting louder. I thought cleaning would do it. Your help would be greatly appreciated

You may try graphite lubricant like that used on locks. As long as you apply it lightly and only to the bar, it should help the squeak.

SOURCE: I have a HP Deskjet F380 All-in-One. Error light keeps flashing.

Normal 0 Driver could be corrupt.
Disconnect the printer or at least be sure it is turned off. I'd do both and reinstall the CD software program that came with the printer. When the software program asks you to connect the printer to the USB port, do so and it should again work properly.
Hope this helps. Bud

SOURCE: "black print cartridge is not compatible"

Ok the main mistake is cleaning the cartridge with alcohol because then the cartridge picks up dust and the dust sticks to it and then the printer will not work.
Now you can try cleaning the cartridges with a cotton swab dipped in water and see if that helps with anything you also gotta clean the contacts inside the printer where the cartridges are seated.
Make sure the printer is connected directly to the walljack without the surge protector and remove the cartridges, then power on the printer if you still face the issue, while the printer is on pull out the power cable from the back of the printer and the walljack wait for 30 seconds and then plug the cable to the wall and then to the printer and see if this resolves the issue,if you still get the error its a printer hardware problem. In that case also check the cartridge expiration date at the bottom of the cartridge if it shows out of warranty that could be another reason why you get this error message

SOURCE: HP PSC 2355 incorrect print cartridges error message

not quiet a solution dugguly but i've just had the same problem in reverse, i moved to the us with same printer, ink ran dry, it won't take hp94. after 3 phone calls and 4 emails with hp i learned that all hp printers sold after 2004 are regionalised, therefore a us printer will NOT WORK with UK bough cartridges and vice-a-versa. the only way round this is to call the HP support and ask to be taken through the step by step guide to reseting the region of your printer to the UK regional setting OR and this is my option, get friends/family in the US to ship US cartridges to you in the UK. Too bad as Tesco do a good line in gneric cartridges - Good luck - mattw

My printer keeps making squeaking noises when printing

This could be caused by a few different things:

1. Your cartridge
2. Your rollers that pull the paper through the machine
3. Fuser

If it is the cartridge, try changing it to see if it makes a difference. If it doesn't and the problem is with your fuser or rollers, you could be due for a maintenance cleaning and a certified technician can help rid you of the squeak.

Squeeks even after oiling

Sometimes the squeaks come from the drum inside the cartridge. If you remove the cartridge and power on and don't hear the squeaks, it's in the cartridge and not the printer...

Hl-2140 noises

For a possible fix to the Brother HL-2140 squeal/squeak/noise problem open the printer at the other side from the paper tray and toner cartridge door. You should see a little black roller rod along with some white wheels.

The noise may be coming from the contact between the wheels/rollers which pull paper toward the output tray on top after it has been printed.

Check and clean/wipe the wheels and black rod, especially in the center area. Hopefully the noise will now be reduced/eliminated.

Cheers, Stephen

Brother cs 6000i squeaking

By any chance were you using your walking foot when it was squeaking? I had the same issue and realized it didn't squeak unless I was using the walking foot, it was actually the walking foot that was squeaking :D I can live with that!

Error #1200

Turn off power to the printer and unplug it from the back of the printer.

Insert the power cord back into the printer. You will hear some clicks and motors moving. Pull out the cord again when this happens.

Open the cartridge bay by pulling the face forward and lifting the bay door up. The cartridge carousel most likely will not come to the center.

trying physically pulling the carousel to the middle. (NOT BY THE RIBBON CABLE) If you can not pull it to the middle push it far right as possible. Listen for a click.

After pushing to the right and hearing a click you should then be able to pull the carousel towards the middle easily. Remove the ink cartridges and power up the printer again.

You will receive an error along the lines of black cartridge missing. Open the bay, insert the cartridges, close the bay.

if that doesnt help...
remove the shell from the black base, clean the goop from under the ink cartridges, put silicon on the bars after cleaning with alcohol, grease the gears sparingly, put it back together,

good luck

Error problems wi Dell 626 all in one printer

Try these steps if this did not resolve try to clear the memory of the printer
and try to print ..

# Hold the cartridge upside down, with the bar-code label facing you and take a damp paper towel.
# Use the towel to wipe the printhead of the cartridge on the bottom (where the ink comes out). Wipe the printhead horizontally in one direction only (left to right).
# Continue doing this until it looks clean.
# Then dab the cartridge on the towel to make sure the ink is flowing.
# Next, look inside the printer and locate the carrier that holds ink cartridges. Caution: Make sure the cartridges are not installed at this point.

1. Look for a shiny piece of metal underneath the contacts at the back of the carrier.
2. Take a damp cotton swab (use water only!) and wipe along the bottom of the shiny metal piece. Note: You may need more than one swab.

# Reinstall the cartridges, making sure you snap them correctly into the printer.

Error code 0502

Hi there
Try this soon be back working
On the multi function machine seems to be a coating on the metal rod that the cartridges travel on. Just wipe this rod with a Kleenex and the problem seems to go away.
Somehow it presents a drag on the cartridges and causes an error.
Myself I would put a little bit of oil after on a cloth and wipe along the bar.

Please all I ask is call back and just gave a vote, it will gave me some satisfaction to know am helping some one, so I will keep on helping.

Printer ink cartridges move along the bar and then stop

All the HP 500 and 600 series are noisy like this. To help the problem, you would need to open the unit and blow out any dust and paper particles with low pressure compressed air. Put on some latex (medical type) gloves and wipe down and clean all surfaces with a paper towel soaked in 90% isopropyl alcohol (it will be messy). You will have to use multiple paper towels. Check all rollers and insure they will roll. Check the carriage and drive belt for damage. I would also spray a Q tip with WD-40 and swab a light coat on the carriage bar and at the metal edge of rollers (where there are bearings). If this doesn't resolve the banging noise, then there may be a problem with the stepper motor or gearing (plastic gears). This is not normally user serviceable and is not cost effective to repair. You buy a new printer.
