Super Protection Sports Watch with four buttons, one for mode and one for settings

We received as gifts from the Humane society two super protection sports watches but they came with no instructions.  One button is for settings and another is fir mode.  Aren't most of these less expensive watches pretty much the same?   I'm relying on your expertise to guide me through the running of this watch.  If you don't wish to help me could you please advice me of someone who could.  Thank You     Richard Nielsen [email protected]

Press the st/stop button to change location between seconds, minutes, hours, date, month, and day. Use the lap/reset button to make any changes.

Set date on 1440 sports watch 504-t5k085

My watch has model number 504-tsk085, labeled Timex 1440 Sports, and Timex provides the incorrect manual for it online. I wrote these instructions after careful experiment:

Upper left button: press to switch to a stopwatch, or...

Press and hold to enter alarm setting mode. Once flashing press again to enter time/date setting mode.
-- you can only do one or the other without exiting the setting
mode (time or alarm set).
- within the setting mode you use the two right side buttons
in obvious ways to set times/dates
Exit setting mode by pressing upper left again

Lower left button: light
Upper right button (when not setting time): reveal date while pressed

Lower right button (when not setting time): reveal alarm time while pressed.

ALSO: WHILE lower right button is pressed you can change alarm
on/off and chime on/off through the four possible settings by
secondarily pressing the upper right button repeatedly.

For Super Storm watch:
Click Mode (upper left) button until either current time blinks (1st click) or current alarm time blinks (2nd click).
Immediately (before the blinking stops, approx 3 seconds), click hours (lower left) and minutes (lower right) to set time. When you pause the clicking, time or alarm will be set.

How do I set time etc on a coleman sports watch, have manual but doesn't make sense, it's model 40-408

The watch has four buttons. The lower left button is labeled MODE on the face of the watch. There are four modes and pressing the MODE button will step through each mode until you return to the mode at the start of the process. Start at the "Normal" timekeeping mode and press the "MODE" button three times until the digital display rightmost two figures for seconds flash.
Press the lower right button labeled RESET until the item you want to change is flashing. Pressing RESET cycles through seconds, minutes, hours, day, month, day of the week in the top sub-dial and then back to seconds again.
When the item you want to change is flashing press the top right button labeled START to step the displayed item to the value you want. When you are satisfied all the settings are correct, press the lower left button marked MODE to return to normal operation.

Solution #2 by Guest, posted on May 13, 2008 solved my problem. OUTSTANDING solution #2!

1. Hold in the MODE button until the alarm time appears.

2. VERY IMPORTANT - release and TAP the MODE button AGAIN, and the time should appear with the seconds flashing.

3. Use StART/Stop to choose among seconds, hours, and minutes, and

4. Use ADJUST to increase the selected number

5. Press MODE to put the thing back in regular operational mode.

After several attempts with other directions over the last four months, these 5 steps WORKED.
