Hair thinning and hair loss is a common problem. However, if it is up to great extent, then it is a serious problem. To make your hair smooth and shiny, you can focus on making your hair healthier through hair loss prevention and treatment. Just diet will not help. Regarding the pores on the skin, dermatologist will help. Here, for your problem, skin and hair care clinic can help you. I know a reputed skin and hair loss treatment centre in Jeddah. You can visit them for initial consultation if feasible or you can find the nearest branch as well. They will help you with the suitable solution for your problem. Hope it helps.

Ryobi weed eater 18v stopped working. Charged battery, no response, so bought new battery. Stil unresponsive. What's wrong?

Could be the trigger switch, brushes, or the motor. I can tell you the motors on these things are amazingly cheap. The contact surface for the windings is paper thin. All you need is a little bit of dirt or sand and you will literally sand the copper off and kill the motor. Open it up, look at the articulating surface of the motor that the brushes ride on. If it is not a shiny copper color, the copper has been worn off & you found your problem. Good luck.

I am interested in using Rogain for my thinning hair. Can anyone tell me a little bit about how it actually works

Rogaine comes in either liquid or foam. It can take up to 12 weeks for hair follicles to start growing. I had pretty good results with it, but I would just be careful since my brother experienced a lot of redness on his scalp after applying it.

How to french braid hair

Before braiding, brush hair to smooth out any knots or tangles.

Starting at the hairline, gather enough hair from top of head to start a regular braid. Divide hair into three equal sections. Hold right section in right hand, left section in left hand, and middle section between thumb and another finger of either hand.

To begin braid, cross right section over middle section, then repeat this move with left section, smoothing hair down as you go. Pull sections fairly tight; you don't want the braid to be loose and come undone.

Before repeating your cross-over motion with the right section, gather a little bit of additional hair from the head's right side, and add it to this section; now cross this larger portion of hair over the middle section of the braid.
Tip: Make sure that the sections of hair you're adding are roughly equal or the braid will look lopsided.

Gather a small section (of equal size to the one you just gathered) of the remaining hair on the left side of your head up and into the left section and cross that over the middle section.

Tip: Slightly dirty hair has less "slip," making it easier to braid.

Repeat steps 4 and 5, adding hair until you've gathered in all additional hair strands. Finish at the bottom with a regular braid.

Once you reach the bottom of the braid, secure the end with a hair band, wrapping it tightly around the hair.

Rough shiftng transmission

I think your gearbox oil is probably a slight bit thin. As the oil warms it gets thinner so It might be ok cold but one warm be to thin. A common practise with hard shift all the time is to thin the oil with ATF maybe this has been done with yours but thinned out to much. Either way you should check the level, color & texture of the oil & if not appear right replace it.

Have a 1997 blazer, the person I bought it from said the converter was plugged causing it to get hot and run rough, I removed the converter and still has the same condition, when I step on the gas pedal...

You could try giving it a tuneup changilg spark plugs, wires, air & fuel filters. If that doesn't fix it I would look into fuel pressure and injector problems

My front disc brake is not working instantly... I need instant breaking performance. What shall I do? my rear disc is working properly but the front disc is slipping a little. please help

Slightly slipping disc brake:

First make sure the rotor and brake are clean and free of all oils. Any amount of oil will impede the brake working properly.

Solution #1 - Replace the front brake pads, when they are worn they will not stop as well. You can also replace with a compound that has more grip.

Solution #2 - Check rotor. If it is too smooth, you may need to take some rough grit sandpaper and make the rotor surface not shiny or smooth. You want the rotor to have a little roughness to it. If the surface is too tough to use sand paper on, then use a dremel with a sanding bit.

Solution #3 - not the most practical, but if the performance is not adequate for your needs, then you can replace the brake with a better quality brake that has greater stopping power.

How do you do small body panel repairs on rust spots?

If it's just surface rust with no holes use a grinder and clean the spot to bare shiny metal. Use some spot putty and completely cover the metal. Then sand it down smooth and put some primer on it. When you sand it down pay close attention to your edges. Sand them into the paint so that you can't feel the difference between the patch and the old paint. After the primer dries use a spray can and paint the spot because primer will absorb water and you will have to do the repair again.
If the spots have small holes in them you should get a can of body fill called "Tiger Hair". It has fiberglass in the compound and will easily fix small holes. Use this before the spot putty and sand it smooth. Then cover that with a thin layer of spot putty to fill any imperfections, primer and paint.
If you have holes bigger than 1/2 inch then you should be able to get small wire mesh patchs at your local auto parts store. These will stick to the bare metal after grinding and you can put your tiger hair over that. This will be a bigger patch. It will need to be about 3 times bigger than the hole you are filling to be relatively unnoticable.
This won't give you a show car but it should keep inspectors off your back. Hope this helps.

Bottom (bobbin) thread suddenly loosens

Good morning,

A few steps to help you troubleshoot:
  1. Bobbin in the right direction: when looking at the bobbin in the bobbin case, pull the thread tail. The bobbin should turn clockwise.

  2. One of the biggest causes of what you describe is simply a burr/rough spot on the needleplate or hook.

Remove the needleplate from your machine and inspect the opening for any rough spots... run your finger over the area to feel for any sharp bits. If you discover some rough spots, they can be smoothed using a fine emery cloth. Use this gently - don't want to distort needle opening, just smooth the roughness.

If no rough spots on needleplate, open the bobbin cover and turn the handwheel towards you until the hook (little pointy part of bobbin area) is towards the bottom of the machine. Run your finger over the point to feel for any rough spots. Again - a fine emery cloth can smooth this. Be VERY careful to not flatten the hook - just a little smoothing to get rid of rough bits. Too much can ruin the hook. If you're uncomfortable with this, don't hesitate to take to your Pfaff tech and point out the rough bits.

  3. Hold the bobbin case/bobbin between finger/thumb, making sure you're not pressing on the bobbin tension (little flat metal piece on side of case). Pull the thread smoothly out of the bobbin case to see if you feel any little glitches. If you do, there may be a bit of fuzz/broken thread trapped under the bobbin tension.

You can loosen the large setscrew on the side of the case to allow you to blow out whatever may be trapped.

  4. While your top thread may appear fine, there may be a bit of fuzz or broken thread wrapped around the take-up lever. This would interfere with the smooth feeding of the upper thread, also causing an inconsistency in the bobbin.

Use a flashlight and look down into the top of the machine/takeup lever area. You may be able to see a bit of thread and remove it. If you can't see an offending bit, try "Flossing" your upper thread path by grasping the thread close to the spool and after it comes out of the needle. Run the thread back and forth through the thread path to see if you can dislodge anything

  5. If none of the above help, we'd suggest you have your local Pfaff authorized tech take a look. It's always a good idea to take your machine to it's respective authorized service person as they'll be the ones to know the most about it and have access to any repair parts.
Please don't hesitate to respond if you need further help or clarification.

Happy sewing,
Kim & Linnette
