If the application Transfrm has been executed, it lingers in RAM and takes over the graphing capabilities of the native OS. This prevents you from drawing more than one graph. You must unload it from memory.

  1. Press the [APPS] key.
  2. Scroll down to the line that shows Transfrm.
  3. Highlight it and press [ENTER].
  4. In following screen you are invited to uninstall or continue.
  5. Press the number to the left of Uninstall. Validate if need be.
  6. Return to the Y= editor to type in functions to graph.

My ti-84 is only graphing one linear equation in the y equal when i put two equations in it only show one

The following should help you draw several graphs.
When you enter a function you should press [ENTER] to validate. At the same time, the cursor moves to the next line. Verify that the = sign on the equation already entered is still highlighted.
If for some reason the = sign of an equation is no longer highlighted, use arrow keys to move cursor on the = sign and press [ENTER].

If only one = sign remains highlighted and all others are not, then in all probability the application Transfrm has been executed before and is still lingering in RAM. When in RAM, it takes over the graphing capabilities of the native OS.

In my Y= menu, any equation that I enter isn't graphed on my graph. At the top, by Plot 1 Plot 2 Plot 3, it says "X=" before them. Also when i do enter an equation, it says Error: invalid dimensions.

You must deactivate the Statistical plots.
Press [STAT].
In list that is displayed delect [4:PlotsOff] and press [ENTER]
Go to [Y=] editor to enter functions or press [GRAPH] if functions already entered.

Press the Y= key. Move to the equation in question, then press left-arrow repeatedly until the cursor is at the far end of the line. Press ENTER repeatedly to cycle through the different graph styles. The default is the four dots in a diagonal line from upper-left to lower-right.

I cannot graph more than 1 equation at a time. How do I graph more than one equation?

The Transfrm Application is in all likelihood active, and you must kick it out of memory (not delete it).
  1. Press [APPS] scroll down the list of apps to reach Transfm.
  2. Select Transfrm and press ENTER.
  3. In the screen that is displayed, select the option that uninstalls Transfrm.
  4. Go back to Y= editor and make sure that both or all = signs in the defining equations are highlighted.

TI 84 plus calculator refuses to graph more than one function

Hello,
Please, read the following, even if you already know some of its contents.
  1. Once you enter an equation, the corresponding equal sign is highlighted by default.
  2. Before you draw the 2 graphs, move the cursor to Y3 or Y4 and verify that the = signs for Y1 and Y2 remain highlighted.
  3. If one is not highlighted, move the cursor on it and press ENTER.
  4. If you still have problem, press [2nd][STATPLOTS][4: PlotsOff] [ENTER].
  5. Command PlotsOff echoes on main screen.
  6. Press [ENTER], screen displays Done.
  7. Restart the graphing procedure.
  8. If all else fails, just reset the RAM by pressing [2nd][MEM][7:Reset][1:All RAM][2:Reset], press [CLEAR] to clear the message.
You should make it a habit to clear the RAM every time you start a new type of problem.

Hope it helps.

Graphing

The first solution will allow you to watch your calculator graph two equations simultaneously rather than finishing one before graphing the next; it won't solve the problem of having the calculator unselect one equation when you select a second. To fix that problem, try the following:

In order to select additional graphs, the Transformation Graphing App will need to be uninstalled from the TI-83 Plus Family and TI-84 Plus Family. Uninstalling the App does not erase it from the calculator, it disables it from interfering with the normal graphing modes. Below are the steps to successfully uninstall the App.
  • Press [APPS] key
  • Select Transfrm from the menu
  • Press 1:Uninstall
