I HAVE A GT245 JOHN DEERE LAWN MOWER WITH A 20HP KAWASAKI V TWIN. WHEN I START THE MOTOR I HAVE TO PUSH THE CHOCK UNTIL IT STARTS BUT ONCE STARTED I SHOULD BE ABLE TO RELEASE IT BUT ON MINBE IF I DO.......THE MOTOR STOPS AND I SEE FUEL HOW CAN I FIX THIS

its possable that when you cleaned the bowl and float you got the grub out of the carb, but you might want to use carb cleaner fuel additive, you can genearlly pick it up for $5 for a can, its normally used for soaking parts and cars, so use about half what they say.

also, you might want to consider using some octane booster for a few tanks, as it will also help clean up any fuel residue from sitting over the winter.
