You are going to need to call your service company and have them replace the drum unit for you. Don't listen to anyone that gives you the service mode entry procedure and drum count reset. This WILL screw up the AIDC (Automatic Image Density Control) and the machine will shut down with a COF32 code. There is a very specific procedure which must be followed when replacing/resetting the drum counter on these machines as there are several "counts" that are tied together. Trust me on this as a 27 year Minolta Tech, spend the money and have the drum unit replaced. They are good for 100,000 copies so even tho it may cost some money to do. Divide that cost by 100,000 pages and it gets pretty cheap.
Good Luck and Thank You for using Fixya.

Getting a message saying change belt unit...what's that? is it easy to change? Replaced Drum Unit 6 months ago and I still get message Drum Unit end soon.

The instructions to reset the drum after changing are packed with the new drum, and the belt unit is the transfer belt that also wears out and needs changing periodically. The instructions are packed with that also and not hard to change.

MFC-7420 "Change Drum Soon" I have had this message for a while. I purchased a new drum. In the meantime the printer continues to print fine, except we have paper feed problems. Is the drum related to...

the only time i've seen the drum affect paper feeding is if paper jams in the drum unit. i would use your current drum until print quality decreases to an unacceptable level. it will not shut down, and you will not see a "change drum message." if your paper feed problem is centered around the cassette/paper pickup area, you can try cleaning your rollers with water and a soft rag, and also make sure your rear paper stopper in cassette isn't pressing too tightly against the rear of paper stack. best to leave 1/8" gap, otherwise paper will not lift properly to the rollers.

"Please change PC Drum" message appear on printers LCD

If your print job prints ok, ignore it. Just bear in mind you'll need a new drum soon. The drum is a light sensative roller that ink from the toner cartridge adheres to where the laser hits it. When it is no longer magnatized enough to hold the toner you'll see your print jobs start to lose that toner color. Just pull the drum out, buy a new one and put it in. Just don't expose the drum to light very long.
