I need to know how to find the antilog on a TI[-83 Plus calculator to solve pH problems in chemistry.
I reccently had the same problem, but I have a Ti-84 Plus, and I am disgusted by how poorly this matter is covered by Texas Intruments. Esp. since the solution is rather simple.
The antilog key is [2nd] [log] or the 10^x. On your screen it should apear as 10^( and then you just input the value that you want to find the antilog of.
When used to solve pH problems remember to input the pH value as a negative number, since pH= -log[H+] then [H+]= antilog(-pH).
Hope that helped))))) ^^
I get to the part where you puch [2nd] [log] and then not sure what to do after that.
My formula is meant to be:
-log(1.2*10-3)
The answer is: Find the antilog on the TI-83 Plus for finding pH - moz-screenshot-1.pngmages/moz-screenshot-1.png" alt="moz-screenshot-1.png" class="h_mi" />2.9208187539524
The way I'm trying to enter the formula on the ti 83 is:
- [log]1.2x[2nd][log] -3 )
I just get a syntax error!
Any ideas?
Ok, I sorted out this one.
The formula is:
- [log]1.2 x [2nd][log] (-) 3 )
Next push [enter] twice, otherwise you just get '0' as the answer!
The '(-)' button is next to the [enter] button.
When the concentration of [Ag+] = Ksp/[I-] = (8.3X10^-17)/(6.76X10^-4)= 1.23 X 10^-13M What is the p[Ag+]? Solving for the negative log of [Ag+]: type in to the TI-83 Plus the following: log(10^(-13)*1.23) = -12.91, since p[Ag+] is the negative log, the answer is therefore 12.91 (hint:in the 10^(-13) portion of the equation, the negative sign is from the "(-)" button not the "-" button)

How do i find the anilog on my calculator i have a texas instrument ti-30
SOURCE: Find the antilog on the TI-84 Plus for finding pH in chemistry problems
I'm not specifically familiar with the TI83 or TI84 but I've used a lot of TI calculators in my time, so I'll give it a try. If your trying to find the antilog of a number in base 10 enter the number and hit the (10 to the X) button. If you're trying to find the antilog of a number in in base e (natural log), enter the number and hit the (e to the X) button.
