SOURCE: CLOTHES STUCK IN WASHER!!!!!!

If you open up the dispenser tray on the top of the machine, there should be a red cord. This is the manual release for the door. All you have to do is pull this cord and the door opens. If the cord is missing, you will need to remove the top of the washer to get to the latch. I hope this helps you.

SOURCE: Washer will not drain properly.

The splashing you hear is a liquid thats in the balance ring. This is located at the front edge of the inner tub that you spun by hand. It helps balance the loads. This is normal. The smell is a problem inherent to front loaders. About once a month run hot water wash with a cup of bleach in it, no clothes. Best bet is to leave door open to allow air to dry interior. I removed bulb in mine.

SOURCE: Suds in Sears Kenmore Elite Front Load Washer HE4t

I am having the same problem with the front load washer completely filling with suds and shutting down. We've had it for 2 years without problems, but it has now happened about 6-7 times in the past 4-5 weeks. We have not changed the amount of detergent, but we do not always use the same brand. I think this started after we began using the current detergent which is a 200 fl. oz. bottle of "Tide with a touch of Downy" Clean Breeze.
I think there is a good chance it is the Downy mixed in that is causing it or at least partially responsible.
I will switch detergents and see if the problem doesn't go away

SOURCE: Help!! My maytag neptune MAH6700AWW is having trouble.

the fix was simple i just had to lift my drain hose off the floor. it had become disconnected from the back of the washer and was lying on the floor. I didn't realize that by it lying on the floor it didn't provide the proper back pressure to keep the water in while filling the tub. this was the NF error. as for the LE error. i haven't gotten it since i took off my cold water hose connection and ran hot water into it to losen the dirt/rust that was caked into the screen that is located in it. My washer is running like it is brand new again.

I have a maytage neptune washer mah8700a that displays "suds". It runs several additional rinse cycles before completing the wash. Have switched to tide and run much less soap. Tried an empty load on

Are you using detergent that is rated for HE (high-efficiency) washers? They are manufactured to require less per load and produce fewer suds. Conventional detergents in HE washers will result in over-sudsing.

My Maytag Neptune MAH8700AWW washer when in the spin dry mode shuts down with a suds error?

Check your drain hose for kinks or blockages, check filter and pump for blockages, check wire harness connections to pump, pressure switch and CCU.
I machine will start- If too much detergent was used, run the unit through a Rinse/ Spin cycle then a Normal cycle without adding any detergent. This should clear the unit of the excess detergent.

Maytag 3000 washer has error message SUD. What is this and how do I fix it. It occurs in the spin cycle every time I wash. I am using Tide HE detergent. It even does it when I use Zero detergent.

The SUD message usually indicates that the sensor detected excess suds and shut down the washer until the suds subsided. To my knowledge, Zero isn't an HE approved detergent so the amount you use has to be really tiny to avoid the SUD error.

With the Tide HE, you still may be using too much detergent. However, you should check the drain pump and outlet hoses. Sometimes a slow or blocked drain can trigger the error. There is often a filter at the drain to keep foreign objects that were left in the clothes from damaging the pump. Make sure that nothing is in this "coin trap". Have a bucket ready when you take apart the drain to catch the water left in the washer. The pump is accessed through the back panel. (Some front-loaders actually have an access panel so you don't have to remove the entire back.)

If you see excessive suds during the wash cycle, run the washer through a complete cycle while it's empty without using any detergent. This often will rinse out any detergent that may have been left from previous loads.

I hope this helps.

May tag Neptune showing codes

Error codes appear when there are problems with the door, the inflow and drainage of water and the motor.

Do
Your Maytag Neptune washer displays the "do" help code when the washing machine is trying to start a cycle, but the door is open or not locked properly. If this message is displayed, close the door securely and restart the washing cycle.

FL
The "FL" code indicates that the washing machine was unable to lock the door after you closed it. Open and close the door tightly, then restart the washing cycle.

Sd
The "Sd" code indicates that you have added too much detergent to the washing machine and your laundry has too many suds. The machine will stop displaying this code if it has successfully run the suds recovery cycle, which removes the excess suds from the wash load. If the code remains, reduce the amount of detergent in the load. Use less detergent for similar loads of laundry in the future.

PF
The "PF" code indicates that a power failure has occurred. Restart the wash cycle. If the code still appears, check that the washing machine is still plugged in to the electrical outlet.

Nd
The "nd" code indicates that your Maytag Neptune is not draining as it should. Check that the drain hose isn't kinked and that the stand pipe isn't clogged. If you find either of these problems, fix them before restarting the washing cycle.

LO
The "LO" code appears when the washing machine has finished the selected wash cycle, but cannot unlock the door. Verify that the door is closed properly, push the "Off" button, and wait two minutes. The door should unlock and the error code will disappear. If the error code remains, unplug the washing machine, wait two minutes and plug it back into the electrical outlet.

Lr
The "Lr" code indicates that the washing machine's motor is not running as it should. Have your Maytag Neptune washing machine serviced by a certified Maytag repair professional. Maytag Neptune Priority One Service: (888) 462-9824

NF
The "nF" code appears when the washing machine has tried to fill with water and has failed. Verify that the inlet hoses aren't kinked and that the faucets are fully open.

Od
The "od" code appears when you must open the washer door. The Maytag Neptune washer requires that you open the door between cycles.

I have a Kenmore Washer Elite HE 3t and I just started getting a code SUD and I do not have a manual so I don't know what this means. Thanks, Wendy

Suds, it usually comes after the last rinse if too much detergent is used. Use less and make sure it's HE liquid like All or Tide liquid detergent.

If you get the FL how do you get the door to open??

Once you close your Maytag Neptune's door, the machine locks the door, goes through the selected wash cycles and unlocks the door when the laundry is finished. Error codes appear when there are problems with the door, the inflow and drainage of water and the motor.

Half way through the cycle I get a suds on the display then the other code I get is oe. Any suggestion on what is wrong?

The Suds code is a SUDS LOCK (Overdose of Detergent detected during the Wash Cycle)The motor control unit senses a suds lock condition by analyzing the current draw on the drive motor. If "Sud" is displayed a potential suds lock is detected. This may signify a bad pump, an extra heavy load, excessive detergent, or excessive suds.

  • If too much detergent was used, run the unit through a Rinse/Spin cycle, then a Normal cycle, without adding any detergent. This should clear the unit of the excess detergent.
  • Check the drain hose and make sure it is not plugged or kinked.
  • Check Wire Harness connectors to the Drain Pump, Pressure Switch, and Central Control Unit (CCU)

It says " suds " in the window but we are using HE detergent

The Motor Control Unit senses a suds lock condition by analyzing the current draw on the drive motor. If "Sud" is displayed a potential Suds Lock is detected. This may signify a bad pump, an extra heavy load, excessive detergent, or excessive suds.

Possible Causes / Procedure

• If too much detergent was used:
- Run the unit through a Rinse/Spin cycle.
- Run a Normal cycle without adding any detergent.

This should clear the unit of the excess detergent.

1. Check the drain hose and make sure it is not plugged or kinked.
2. Unplug washer or disconnect power.
3. Check wire harness connections to the drain pump, pressure switch, and Central Control Unit (CCU).
4. Check/clean drain pump filter of foreign objects.
5. Plug in washer or reconnect power.
6. Check drain pump.
7. Check the pressure switch.
8. Verify CCU operation by running a Diagnostic test or any cycle.

(If the suds error code continues to illuminate after the above inspections are preformed, replace the pump.)
