1. A circuit board may crack about some of the larger components mounted on it. You can inspect the PCB's for fractures, and then repair them. It may also be poor soldering that has failed. I would be checking for these things first.

2. If you want to go in for a long term solution, you can easily replace the whole power board or just change the faulty capacitors. You will have to open the back panel and take a look. You can make out which are faulty, because their caps will be swollen on top. Here's a sample pic (not same model):
lcd tv screen has gone - ad66cdc.jpg
Check the specifications of the faulty capacitors, and get the replacements from your local electronics shop. If you are comfortable with this, you can use a pair of needle nose pliers to G-E-N-T-L-Y pull out the defunct capacitors. Once that is done, solder in the new capacitors carefully. If are unsure how to do this, try to get a friend who knows how to do this kinda stuff do it for you, or get a qualified technician. Warning: If you do not have a background in electronics repair, or are inexperienced, get a qualified technician to do it for you.

REMEMBER there are very dangerous voltages inside a TV that can KILL. Be sure to work SAFE when dealing with electricity. DISCONNECT THE POWER BEFORE YOU DO ANYTHING.

Hope that helps...Should you have any further questions, please feel free to post them here.

My screen for teac lcd tv/DVD combo lcd1001m has gone dark, is there a way to fix this

If the screen for your TEAC LCD TV/DVD combo has gone dark, there are a few things you can try to fix it:
  1. Check the brightness settings: Make sure that the brightness setting on the TV is not turned all the way down. This can happen accidentally, and adjusting the setting may solve the problem.
  2. Check the power supply: If the TV is not receiving enough power, the screen may not light up properly. Make sure the power cord is plugged in securely and try using a different outlet.
  3. Check the connections: Check all the cables and connections between the TV and any other devices. Make sure they are plugged in correctly and that there are no loose connections.
  4. Reset the TV: Try resetting the TV to its factory settings. Consult the user manual for instructions on how to do this.
If none of these solutions work, there may be a hardware problem with the TV and it may need to be repaired or replaced.

Dynex dx-l321-10a no video

No video or no brightness? If no brightness on a LCD get the room very very dark and with a flashlight on the screen look to see if a faint (very faint) image of the picture can be seen or not.

I have a Protron LCD 26" TV model#LT26CIPI...The tv was working great turned it off on night and in the morning turned it back on to sound but no picture just a Black screen...when you change channels

Since its a LCD take a flashlight and have the room as dark as possible and with the light look to see if a very very faint image of the picture can be seen or not---many of these sets use a "back light" for the brightness and if that's not on.......

Hi the tv started to go dark then it would be ok then dark and the same when dvds played do get sound now black screen nothing at all

Hmm
Looks like the back light or the driver circuit has failed.
If you shine a bright torch at the screen can you see a very faint image ?
If so then its the back light has gone.
If you cant see anything its the screen driver.

I have no picture on my 15" LCD Insignia TV. My

You may have a burnt out blacklight... You can fix it easy by having the tv on while it’s a bright picture than quickly unplugging it... or it would be best to get a new TV.

Approximately 2/3 of the screen is dark. this started about six months ago and is progressively becoming worse. when problem began the screen would recover to full brightness after it was on for 30...

Hi there...it is sounding like a backlight is going/has gone out...these can be proffesionally replacedat a repair shop...To self diagnose if it is the backlight take a flashlight and, with tv on and while on a tv channel and carefully form different angles look into the 'dark' part of the tv screen...if the/a backlight on a lcd tv/monitor goes out(even laptop screens) then u can still see a faint image with a flashlight(or without one with a good eye)....If you still see the (tv channel) image, then it is most likely a bad backlight......
I hope this helped you some, if it did(or not) please rate!...Thank you

LCD TV has sound but no picture.

Shine a small bright light at the screen when on and see if you can see a faint picture in the dark screen. If you can then your backlighting is not functioning due to ccfl (inverter), power supply, or back light lamps.
