You can run a regular cycle with bleach as instructed in the manual. there may be mold on the rubber where the door closes. wash this with water and bleach. to avoid this problem in the future you can loosen the light bulb then you can leave the door open a little all the time with no light. press the off button when not in use.
SOURCE: Tub smells of stagnant water
This is a fairly common problem, where a bad odour comes from the washing machine, especially after a lot of low temp wash cycles. There is no component in the washer that can fail to cause a bad odour. In most cases,it will be from an external source, or the way the machine is used. Reasons can cause the problem : - liquid detergent - Do you use liquid detergent? There is no chlorine bleaching agents in liquid detergent and it has a tendency leave the machine smelling a bit after a while. The cure is to do a "Maintenance Wash" (a boil wash with no clothes or detergent in) at least once a month, or you can use dishwasher cleaner or bicarbonate of soda, both are very effective. -Backfilling from the house waste- Incorrectly installed of the stand-pipe outlet and/or U-bend, allowing dirty water from the drain to come back into the waher, via the outlet drain pipe. Check that no water coming slowly back to washer's tub when it's switched off. Good luck !!
SOURCE: Moldy smell
Turn it off, unplug it. Remove filter and check if filter and/or filter and pump housing are clogged with something "smelly". When you're at it check the drain pipe for too.
SOURCE: smells of mildew and so do clothes
There is another product out there that seems to work real well.... it is called "AFFRESH" and it is for He front load washers... Its available at Lowes for about $6.50
SOURCE: laundry smells like mildew after washing
Front load washers retain water that you cant see or get to. There are cleaners for washing machines available. I clean mine every month with alot of bleach , try pouring a half gallon of bleach in the soap insert on a normal wash cycle and an extra rinse would not hurt no clothes of course.
SOURCE: Moldy smell always tried bleach and vinegar. Use
You need to replace the rubber gasket around the front of the door. This gasket holds moisture and over time molds. Give us a call or email us and we;ll be sure to get the correct gasket out to you right away. We hope this helps and we hope to hear back from you real soon.
