I want to keep some photos and delete the rest

Always the safest way to delete photos is to upload them to your computer leaving the originals in the cameras memory. Then using any suitable photo editor delete the photos off of the computer that you do not want to keep. After you have confirmed and made a backup on the computer empty out the memory in the camera.

There is a feature in almost all cameras that will allow you to selectively deleted photos in your camera. The risk is that an err occurs or you accidentally select all and delete them all.

How do I delete photos off the camera roll without deleteing them off the album

There are two methods to delete photos from iPad Camera Roll:
1. Import the Camera Roll to your computer, choosing to delete photos after import.
2. Delete photos from your iPad manually. Open the Photos application, open the Camera Roll, tap the Action button, tap each photo to select it, and tap the Delete button.
Note: For photos you want to save for later, import them to your computer before deleting them from the Camera Roll.

I want to delete the pictures

Back up your photos to your computer and then format the card in the camera. Not only will this delete all the photos, this will prevent any further fragmentation of the card. If you keep some photos on the card, delete others, and take more, then delete, etc., you're heading for guaranteed problems.

So, format the card every time you finish download photos to your computer. If you must have photos in the camera, use a card reader and copy them to the card after the format.

Also, remember to format the card in the camera, not on a computer.

Format of sd card on canon ixus 60 lost pictures

Try PC Inspector "Smart Recovery" from the following listing. Select "Intensive" mode from the File/Settings menu. The program may need to run all night in this mode. If this doesn't recover the photos, am afraid then that they're permanently gone.
