The tour throws on my targas drop off my heel pretty often when they are flipped down into tour-mode. I have tried to adjust them to where they stay put for the uptrack while skinning but then they are too tight to flip up into ski-mode. I have heard of people running the throws on top of the heel block instead of the groove but that does not seem very secure as a way to fix the problem. Please advise. Thanks

There is (should be) a screw visible on each of the toe and heel pieces when looking down from directly above. That screw will adjust the height of the piece that clamps down on the top of the tabs on the heel and toe of your ski boots. For proper height measurement, use a credit card (or similar thickness card) and make sure you can somewhat freely slide the card side-to-side under your boot when it is in the binding and clamped down as when you are skiing. Too much play, and you will feel a sloppyness while skiing. Too little and you risk the binding not releasing properly caused by stiction. You can find demonstrations on YouTube also.
You need to look at the engines fuel filter. The demand for power from the engine is greater when the vehicles go uphill, If it can't get the necessary fuel.
If the trackball won't go in one direction, try putting one drop of denatured alcohol onto the trackball and then moving it all around, that should fix it. If it doesn't, lift the trackball up slightly -- very gently -- with the blade of a small pocket knife and blow compressed air underneath it.
Do you still have the nut/piece that came off? If im not mistake the shift has a cover piece that hides the bolt/pivot point for the highback. It should be a noticeable piece on either side of the heel hoop
