Have a problem on a Konica Minolta C652, the Fax/scan button and user box button does not work, if you press the buttons you just hear 2 short beeps and nothing else.
Any ideas?
The hard drive is not turned on. enter service mode ( utility, meter count, details, stop, 0, 0, stop, 0, 1 - this should be pressed in exact succession) then go to system 2 and look for a place where it asks you about all the installed perifferals. Turn the hard drive setting on.

I think your HDD is not enabled in service mode, or the HDD might be faulty. If you are trying to set up scanning to e-mail, check your network and SMTP settings, they also need to be set up before the scan button becomes active.
