One thing to check is the connection to the plumbing in the wall. Sometimes the connections have shut-off valves that can be opened or closed (sometimes just partially). If the shut off valve is partially closed it can restrict the water's flow to the dispenser for both the liquid water and ice. Another possibility to be checked is water filter. If its very old or got clogged by dust particles then it has to be first cleaned and checked. If same problem then it has to be replaced. To locate the valve:--
you will need to pull your fridge out enough to get behind it.. follow the water supply line to where it connects to the fridge. you'll need to remove the cover on the back of the fridge and your water supply line will connect directly to the water valve

Thanks. keep updated for any more query.you can rate this solution and show your appreciation.

Hello,
Start by checking the water supply going to the fridge using the technique of the Master:

  • Turn off the water at the saddle tap valve
  • Disconnect the water line in the back of the fridge. Place the disconnected end in a bucket and open the saddle tap valve.
  • Observe the flow rate–water should shoot out vigorously. If not, then the saddle tap valve is probably gunked up with sediment and you’ll need to replace it.
That should restore normal water pressure.
If the water supply flow rate test, described above, appears normal, then the water inlet valve on the refrigerator may be gunked up with sediment. Here’s how we check for that:
  • Reconnect the water supply line to the valve and turn the water back on.
  • Disconnect the nylon tube from the dispenser side of the valve and replace it with section of tubing so you can out the other end in a bucket.
  • Now actuate the water dispenser and observe the flow out of the tube. It should be the same as the flow you observed in the first flow test described above. If not, then you know the valve is restricting the flow replace the valve.
Take care.

pressure dispenser in the door went to a 10th the original
    pressure, i assumed it
was the filter bc it had been a year no change. replaced my valve on the
    back of the
    fridge, still no go.

he checked the line for air and to
make sure the water line was working, all along the ice cubes were a
    flowing
the whole time no issues. now i have
just lived with slow water pressure. my father in law took
out the ice bucket to fill a coler and ever since the ice maker has
    stopped
working, i saw a small amount of ice formed in the maker that had not
    been
released so i uplugged it and defrosted it then reinstalled but still no
    ice

My maytag washer model lat8006aae hot water flows in slow. I reversed water supply lines, no change, replaced water strainers and new water lines, still slow flow. supply lines, inlet water valve

It is possible the hot cold switch is flawed and stuck on mix of hot and cold I would have the inlet valve checked with a multi meter they can also check it for u at most appliance parts stores

Can the water flow be made faster?

A SLOW WATER FLOW IS USUALLY THE RESULT OF A CLOGGED OR INHIBITED WATER VALVE LINE OR HOSE. IF THE LINE IS FROZEN OR HAS DEBRIS IT WILL SLOW THE FLOW

Water run slow

Did you install the water line? There is likely a blockage in the line itself or at the valve. Is the valve in the line feeding the refrigerator completely on?

It may be that a piece of packing, dirt or other debris from install is in the line itself.

Change water filter. now water is running slow. put old filter back in, still running slow. ICE2O

Hello, Thank You for using FixYa. I will be helping you today. The only thing that can cause slow water is low water pressure from the house line a bad filter or a frozen water line or tank. Most of the time its the house water supply it should be at least 35psi.

The valve can leak because of sediment in the water preventing it from closing or low water pressure
. Disconnect the ice maker line from the water inlet valve valve(on the back where the water supply connects). and watch to see if it has a slow drip.

Water dispenser is slow

Change out the filter. If it still happens then you have a blockage in the line. Disconnect the line and flush out.

Why would the water start coming out very slow?

If you are referring to water coming out the fountain it could be a leak in the system somewhere allowing air into the lines that run the water, if you are referring to water coming out of the ice maker itself you need a new ice maker the lining is bad

Water from dispenser slows down while filling cup

If your water is slowing down the screen on the water valve may be stopped up or the filter (if it has one, when was it last changed?) or line feeding the refrigerator may be stopped up or the water valve its self may not be opening all the way and staying open.

To eliminate 3 of the external problems take the water line off the fridge and run some water into a pan and open and close water like at your kitchen sink and see if the water slows or speeds up noticeably while running into the pan. If so the problem is in the water line. While you have thew line off remove and inspect the water inlet valve screen and replace the hose washer (if so equipped) this brings your problem if you have not found it yet to the inside of the fridge. Usually on the corner of the door hinge the water line makes a turn up to the dispenser inspect it there and see if its twisted or kinked. Also there is a water resiviour inside the fridge look there for the same thing and possibley where food may have been forced agianst the line.

If you still dont find it by now I'D have to know what you did find and where.

If this helps you please rate me with as high a rating as you can and thank you for using fix ya.

Water in refrigerator door coming out slow

Hi Ben22 Sounds like some thing pluging the water line or the water line pinched some where.. if the hole was 1/4 inch you should get enough water with that big of a hole. I would check the water line for a obstruction. Let me know if this helps. Krazytech
