Mcdevito75 here, The crown should be a 2 position crown, try this, pull out the crown as if to set the hands, rotate the hands, (adjust the time) around the dial until you have the right day, Now! push the crown in, Now! slip your finger nail just under the crown and lift the crown to it"s first notch or position, this should allow you to turn the crown and adjust the date, when at the date push the crown back in and your done.

How do change the date on my citizen divers watch

Hi,

Hope this will helped you fixing the time of your Citezen divers watch. Just foolow the instruction below.

Change your Citizen watch's time zone without actually moving the clock hands. On the digital display, change the city that displays on the watch, which sets the time to the different time zone. The Citizen also has a calendar, timer, chronograph and LED lights. Since it is an Eco Drive watch, it is solar powered so you never have to replace the batteries unless its backup power source dies.
Difficulty: Easy Instructions

  1. Pull the setting knob (crown) out one "tick" for setting mode.

  2. Set the mode hand to "WT-S."

  3. Pull the crown out one more "tick."

  4. Press the top button on the right side of the watch for the city setting mode.

  5. Press the lower button on the right side to "SET" the city.

  6. Turn the crown to select a different city, which changes the time zone.

  7. Push the crown all the way back in to finish setting the time.

I have an eco drive and recently in trying to set the clock back to regular time, I must have done something wrong. The time is correct but the date, and day are one day forward. How do I correct this?

the crown of the watch has two clicks, pull it gently once and you can set the date and day, pull it gently again a second time and you can set the time. The proper way to set the time and date is to set first the day, date late at the actual date, then move the hands around the clock until the date change at 12 oclock this is evening, then moving the hands around until you reach the actual time. By doing so you will set the day, date and time in syn to 24 hrs change.

example: you want to change it to sat 12th 11am
set the day and date to fri 11th
then move the hands around clockwise until the day and date change at 12 oclock continue moving the hands until you reach 11am

I bought this watch citizen BL5334-04E year ago,

Mechanically operated date changes occur at 12 O'clock. If your watch thinks it is midnight when it is noon then it will change date.

The solution is to wind your watch on 12 hours.

I can't set the date on my new citizen's eco drive BM8080-59A. I don't know if I'm doing it wrong or if the date setting function is broken. I have tried to change the date by pulling the winder to the...

Yes that is ok its right by pulling the crown winder in the mid level or half level, that is for calendar date.To check if function is ok or broken, just pull full the crown and set the time, see if the calendar date is changing or moving. Then if moving then its ok,the next step you do set is the calendar date,by pulling the crown half pull, then turn the crown counterclockwise for date and for the day turn clockwise.Feel free to post whatever the result of the setting...

Hope it may helps you;

Watch

You should be able to pull the crown out 1/2 way and turn the crown clock-wise and you should hear a click and the calender should move one day. Don't change when the hands when the time is between 10 and 2 , just manually move the hands past that time , and re-set afterwards. If that dosn't work let me know ,.There are other types of those watches , but the way I told you is the most common.
