Chances are that your reciever is outputting conventional NTSC .. not high def ... so you would scan for standard channels not hdtv .. if chanel selection is done by the satelite reciever then the scan will only find one channel 3 or 4 usually (or better yet you can use Svideo or component oututs if it has them .... if the receiver is a block converter that uses the tv to tune channels then you should get more channels detected ..

How do I connect a spectroniq PLTV 32050 (2006 television) to dish network and program the stations?

To connect your Spectroniq PLTV 32050 TV to your Dish Network receiver and program the stations, you can follow these steps:
  1. Connect your Dish Network receiver to your TV using an HDMI or RCA cable. Make sure the TV is turned on and set to the correct input source.
  2. Turn on the Dish Network receiver and follow the on-screen instructions to complete the setup process.
  3. Use the Dish Network remote to program the stations. Press the "Menu" button and navigate to the "Programming" or "Channels" section. Follow the on-screen instructions to scan for available channels and save them to the receiver.
  4. Once the channels have been saved to the receiver, use the "Input" or "Source" button on the TV remote to select the input source that the Dish Network receiver is connected to.
  5. Use the TV remote to adjust the picture and sound settings to your preference.
If you have any trouble with the setup process, you can refer to the user manual for your Dish Network receiver and your Spectroniq PLTV 32050 TV for more detailed instructions.

What channel to set for dish network

Depending on the type of cabling your using the input may vary. If you are Connected using a digital cable such as an HDMI or component (y/pb/pr) cable then you want to set the TV to the HDMI or component input by pressing input or source on your TV. If this is connected using coaxial cable tune the TV to channel 60, 62, 73, 75, 3 or 4

Im trying to find an input for dish network on the tv

The input depends on the type of cable you use, if you use an HDMI you will want to set the TV to an HDMI input. If you're using components set the TV to component or y/pb/pr to change the input press the input button multiple times this should cycle the inputs for you. If you're using coaxial cables try channels 3,4,60,62,73,75 Hope this helps!

My tv is set up with a HD dish network receiver. How do I set up a stand alone sony blu-ray dvd player. when i have tried i got good audio but the video was poor and very red.

Because this is HD to get the best picture possible, you'll need to connect the DVD player separately from the receiver. The easiest way to do this would be to connect an HDMI or component cable from the receiver directly to the TV. When you need to watch a DVD just cycle the inputs by pressing the input or source button on your TV.

Have new E370VL hooked up to Dish Network via coax. The picture jumps/blips? Connections are tight. Help.

This can happen when there is radio interference near the coaxial cables. Sometimes the interference is behind walls. The solution is to try a different combination of modulation and channel than what the DISH receiver is current set.

The DISH menu screen for this setting is Menu-6-1-5. With dual-tuner receivers, typically "TV 1 Out" is the TV that is connected in the same room as the receiver is located. "TV 2 Out" is the tuner that is fed to the remote TV via backfed coaxial signal.

All that needs to be done is to change the channel and mode going to the effected TV to something different. If your channel/mode is currently set to Air/60, try changing it to Cable/73. When you change the mode/channel in the DISH receiver, you need to set the remote TV to the same mode and channel.

Keep in mind that with some TV companies like VIZIO, they call their "Air" mode "Antenna". With VIZIO's the TV must be set on TV input and then go into the Menu to the Settings, Tuner Settings. Change mode type to match what you are trying on the DISH receiver, exit the VIZIO menu and manually enter the channel number.

Eventually with trial and error, you will find a mode/channel combination that isn't effected by your particular environmental interference.

I have Dish Network and remote #1 and 2...the TV for Remote #2 has now changed but the remote will not work...I replaced it with an Olevia Flat Screen (used one) 32in LCDHDTV Model 432-S12 but cannot...

If this hasn't been resolved, I do have some steps that will help you out. The link below will walk you through a power scan, which will program the remote to the tv. At that point, you will be able to change the channels on the tv with the remote.

Viore tv won't see dish network

I will assume this is a direct connect from the wall plate to the TV. With that said you need to run a scan on the set to lock in the channel the second TV is modulated to either 60 air or 73 cable usually. Go into the menu on the tv and select the auto channel search. Some sets scan both sides at once others require you to choose cable or off air. Once this is done you should find the signal.

Let me know if you need further assistance.

I have a Proview TV that we just bought from Rent A Center and when we connect our cable to the TV it tells us to scan the channels. We did this and still we get a blank blue screen that says No Signal....

Try this as your model is basically the same as mine.

Push Menu on your remote.
Then a small screen comes up.
Using your left right arrows move left to set up.
Scroll down to tuner mode and again using left right arrows, there are 4 setting you can choose. Once the setting you choose is showing then scroll up to Channel Searching and hit OK on your remote. This will scan all the channels Digital and Analog.

Depending on which of the 4 setting you picked on TUNER MODE you may have to do this again in the next mode to see which will get the most channels on your TV.

I hope this is helpful; Ken, Attica, NY
