I have a HP PSC 2400 Photosmart Printer. I tried to scan a document into a PowerPoint file and the scan seemed to freeze up. It appears to be stuck in the queue. I cannot get it to cancel or print. I have checked the queue and nothing is there to delete but the printer/ scanner still seems to be trying to do something (the green button continues to flash). How can I correct this problem and get my printer to working again? I have tried disconnecting the printer from the power source, waiting 30 seconds and reconnecting. I have tried restarting the computer. Still no good.

You need to go ahead and simply refresh a service known as "Print Spooler"
here's how you do it..
for Windows XP:
>> click on start
>> click on run
>> type in " services.msc " and hit enter
You will see a list of service names alphabetically arranged on the right hand side..
From there look for the service name "print spooler"
>> right click on it
>> click on stop
wait for 10 secs
>> right click on it again
>> click on start..
>> restart the computer..
>> you will find your document deleted :)
plz rate if you find it helpful. thank you
