My whirlpool washing machine keeps saying f13 whats wrong and how do i fix it

  • mikekallen Feb 12, 2018

My dispenser arm would continuously rotate while still attached to the linkage and eventually would give the f13 error. Solution: there was oxidation at the contact where the wiring harnesses make contact with the dispenser motor. Once I scraped away oxidation and put back together it worked again.

Hello, the F13 means "Dispenser Circuit Error", if the dispenser motor is not able to be driven to its proper position.
Check the following:
1. Check mechanical linkage from dispenser motor to the top of the dispenser.
2. Check wire harness connection to the dispenser motor and Central Control Unit and lastly
3. Check dispenser motor.
Thanks

My mum's AWOE8748 shows F13 it is only just over 1 year old how can I fix it.

Hi. The F13 error code indicates a problem with the doorlock mechanism.

Whirlpool have identified issues with some models and door lock errors so it may be adviseable for you to contact whirlpool customer services.

The error can lead to the door jamming shut.

First of all open the door, if you can, and check that the lock latch on the door is level with the door lock hole on the front panel of the machine. Sometimes you can accidently lean on the door when putting in or taking out the washing sending the lever and hole out of alignment. You can put pressure on the door to align it either way if not level. If you need more help then repost.

What area are you in?

I have a F13 fault that wont reset on a AWOE9759. I do not know what a F13 fault is but i have tried what it says to do in the manual. Please help.

F13 Error = Dispenser circuit error
If the dispenser motor is not able to be driven to it's proper position.

Potential Causes

• Check mechanical linkage from dispenser motor to the top of the dispenser.
• Check Wire Harness connections to the dispenser motor and Central Control Unit (CCU)
• Check Dispenser Motor

Replace failed component.

AWOE9558 Whirlpool Washing machine is displaying a F13 code! Please Help! It wont open the door or finish the wash, what do I do? Thank you

F13 is usually a dispenser circuit error, which means the dispenser motor is not able to move to its proper position.

This maybe because the dispenser motor has failed or the mechanical link from the dispenser to the motor is broken or the wiring to the dispenser motor has become detached.

Try pushing the dispenser door closed more and see if that has any effect otherwise i think you will need a repair man.
