Ok, well usually, one has a "A Satellite Decoder BOX" this is what "Tunes" the "Stations" the "Decoder BOX" then outputs the signal to the TV, which is effectively just a "Monitor" The TV, is set to EXTERNAL INPUT, depending on the "Output" of the "Decoder" it can be, HDMI, Component, or Composite Video, & the Audio output. This "BOX" plugs into the TV, via the suitable cables, and you "Change Channel;" with the "Decoders" Remote, and the only thing you use the TV remote control for is possibly Volume, or Picture controls. I have found your user manual, and a JVC training and service manual, for an LCD TV. Use these to troubleshoot, your problem. Please check out your manuals, and it shows you what to do in pictures.

Now IF this is NOT the problem with your TV, and your TV can indeed take Satellite signals direct? The again, these manuals will prove invaluable in troubleshooting to isolate your issue.
Hi mfaille
I`m going to help you with your setup but first;
Which connection are you using from the sat receiver to the tv?
Coax / standard rg6 cable?
Did you try to manually add(in the menu/tuner setup/find channel/add) the channel you need ?
We would be happy to help get that fixed right away. The first thing we want to ensure is that all connected equipment is on. We want to then check what type of cable was used to connect the TV to the receiver. If you are using a Coax Cable to connect the receiver to TV1, check the receiver's back panel for the output name. If your receiver has a "TV CH 3/4 out": Tune TV to channel 3 or channel 4, back if it is labeled "Home Distribution": Tune TV to channel 62 or 75. If using non-Coax (RCA, Component, or HDMI) to connect receiver to TV1, cycle through the inputs until picture appears; Most TVs have a "TV/Video", "Input", or "Source" button. If we are still not getting a picture then unplug receiver for 10 seconds then plug it back in, this will reset the receiver, then try cycling the inputs again.
We hope these steps resolve the issue. We want to thank you for being a valued DISH Network customer!
