Dear Sir,
I have recently purchased LG Plasma Model No # RU-42PX10/10C/10H/11/11C/11H from an American friend of mine in the State of Kuwait. When I connect my Kenwood DVD Player and Kenwood Home Theater system with my Plasma. The picture and sound result is clear and excellent. I have no problem connecting my DVD player with the Plasma TV but when I connect my cable (satellite) system with the TV , I hear the sound and the picture result is black & white and does not stay at one position. The picture shakes and seems like it needs to be tracked so it can stay at one position.
I therefore, I called two different special technicians to fix this particular problem. Unfortunately, both of them could not fix it. They both tried to connect wires in different sockets but nothing worked. I am very excited to display my Plasma in my living room. Please advise me what do I have to do? I am worried if this TV is not international (universal) and will not work in kuwait
- Do I need to change the settings by calling the LG Technician here in Kuwait
- Do I need the wires to connect in different sockets
- Do I need to buy HDMI wires or ?
Please do me this favor and help me. The person I bought the Plasma already left the kuwait and went to America. I have the catalog, remotes and warranty cards. Your help and respond in this matter will be greatly appreciated.
Very Respectfully,
Ali Khalid

Hi
I have the same tv but my dvd surround is a toshiba, that shouldn't matter though. When I watch a dvd I go to component 2 which is where I have my dvd connected on the input of the tv when I watch tv and want the surround on I go to component 1 which is the tv input then on my dvd player I go to auxillary and I can watch tv in surround. I don't know the LG home theatre system but you should be able to select your inputs like between dvd, tuner, aux. Flip between them and you should get sound. hope this helps.

Pixel misfiring (diffusion errors) are caused when the tv is not firing and erasing the pixels correctly. It can be caused by a number of things, usually a voltage or waveform is off somewhere. If you just bought the tv, return it and get another. If you are out of warrany, you can remove the back panel and run the tv to check the voltages. Don't touch the heatsinks! they're electrically hot and will zap you.. the voltages are labeled on the back of the plasma panel with a sticker. first check Vs and Va. sometimes you can check -Vy, Vset, Vscan and others if labeled on the board. If you have to adjust waveforms you need a very $$ o-scope and should get qualified technician to adjust. If a board is bad, its likely your power supply or Y-sustain pcb, and less likely your Z-sustain or contol (logic) board.
