I have a jvc av56wp74 double immages in red and

it sounds like u need a new lamp with housing if that dont work than its your main board on the inside of tv. but i would try the lamp first

Ur CRT red gun is dead.Must hire the repairman for this job.It require part is hard to find,and alot of work and electronics skills to do this job.

this set(AV56wp74) was first made in 2003----if you use the remote for the set and go into the customer menu---select convergence----once there see if the red and blue will move left/right and up/down----if either color will not move in any one of these directions----you have a bad convergence IC--this set uses 2 of the STK-392-110 output ic chips---both need to be replaced and the set adjusted with the original JVC remote control. sounds like your crt tubes...meaning Red, Green and Blue are out of alignment...or possibly 1 of the crt's is burned out.

No its a tube and not a bulb. If thew line is green then theres an issue with the red and blue as the green is stationary on most sets unless thers a green centering ? Its a componet on the convergence board thats bad or going bad but if you replace any components on the board most likly your gonna need to do a convergence alighnment I would let a pro handle this repair unless your an experineced repair tech Good Luck
