The door will not unlock on my frigidaire gallery series front load washer. I tried unplugging the machine for 24 hours and the problem is still the same. I pulled the top panel off and noticed that the grounding wire was not attached to anything and we had a series of power of outages a few days before the problem began. Any help would be appreciated.

When ours does that it is because of the hard water build up. We have to un-hook the hot water clean out the minerals and it stops doing it.

I removed the hoses and pump and found the filter in the hose leading from the washer was clogged with a shoelace, $2.35 in loose change and a few GI Joe issued M4's. :-) Once I pulled that filter out and cleaned the **** the washer runs like a champ.

I understand that you are trying to replace the selector knob on your Frigidaire washer, GLTF2940E. Normally this is not a DIY job and we would recommend having a technician come out to the home in order to properly disassemble your front panel and replace the selector knob as needed.
