It turns on normally, turns off normally, everything else works just fine as well. When I press the 2nd key an arrow pointing up appears on the black rectangle and then when I press the +, it dissappears into the solid black rectangle and nothing happens no errors, no message, nothing. I have pressed the 2nd and + at the same time but nothing happens either.
It did die on me three days ago becuase the batteries died as well, don't know if that may have something to do with it or not? Do other things seem to work? In particular, the + key? For example, does 1 + 2 ENTER produce 3 as expected?Do other things seem to work? In particular, the + key? For example, does 1 + 2 ENTER produce 3 as expected?
What happens when you do press 2ND followed by + ? You are releasing the 2ND before pressing the +, aren't you? You're probably trying to graph a function that does not involve stat plot features. You can correct this by turning off the stat plot features. Press "2ND" "STAT PLOT" and then select 4:PlotsOff.
If you don't have version 2.53MP of the operating system on the TI-84 Plus Silver Edition, you can download it from
http://education.ti.com/educationportal/sites/US/productDetail/us_os_84plus.html
You can check the version of the operating system by pressing 2ND [MEM] 1. The OS version number is on the second line.
Once you're running OS 2.53MP, press MODE to enter the mode editor. Press down-arrow repeatedly to get to the second page. On the top line, highlight MATHPRINT. Press ENTER to select it, then press 2ND [QUIT] to exit the mode editor.

Hello, To enter the inequation you split it into two inequalities
Graph is as follows
Use [2nd][CATALOG] to access the relaional operators less than or equal, greater than or equal, and the operator AND. To access the inequality signs scroll upwards from abs( to reach the bottom of the catalog. Note: You can use t as variable only in parametric graphs. Use x. Hope it helps.
Hello, Press [2nd][MEM][7:Reset][1:All RAM][2:Reset][ENTER]. Resetting RAM will clear old data stored in list, matrices, graphs, stat graphs. If you have precious data, you may choose to press [2nd][MEM][1:ALL] then you scroll down the list and erase individual items. When the Fat Right Arrow points to an item, you press [DEL] to delete it. Be careful not to delete the APPS (have asterisks to show they are archived). Hope it helps.
How do I correct ERR: MEMORY on a TI-83 family or TI-84 Plus family graphing calculator?
An ERR: MEMORY
is given when there is not enough memory to perform the instruction or
function. To increase available memory by deleting the contents of any
variable (real or complex number, list, matrix, Y= variable, program,
Apps, AppVars, picture, graph database, or string), follow these steps.
• Press [2nd] [MEM] to display the MEMORY menu. • Press 2: Mem Mgmt/Del. • Select a variable or data that needs to be deleted and press [ENTER]. •
Use the arrow keys to move the cursor next to the item, and then press
[DEL]. The variable or data should now be deleted from the memory. When
deleting programs or Apps, a message asking for confirmation will
appear. Select 2:Yes to continue. To leave any variable screen without
deleting anything, press [2nd] [MODE]. Notes: With the exemption of programs and Apps, no warning will be given to verify the deletion. Some system variables, such as the last-answer variable Ans and the statistical variable RegEQ, cannot be deleted.
try going into the memory men (2ND - +), and selecting option 2. Delete some stuff you know you don't need. If the problem persists, 2ND - +, this time option 7. Reset the defaults. You won't lose anything, it will just reset the settings that may be causing this issue.
My screen was frozen and I needed to do a manual reset. If you take out 1 battery from the back....hold the "del" key down and reinsert the battery while holding it down....it will reload the programming into the calc
First, turn it on. Once the calculator is on, press the "2ND" key (I believe it is a blue key in the ti-84 plus silver edition). Now press the plus key (+). A little above that key, you should see the word "mem." When you see the screen titled MEMORY, move the cursor all the way down to the option that says "Reset." From here, you can choose to reset either the RAM memory, or the factory settings. The factory settings are the "Defaults" option. I hope this helps.
