Verticle lines printing on laser printer

I have an HP P3005N printer that is printing 3 vertical lines on every page. I believe I had cleaned all surfaces but the lines continue on anything I print.

Check the fuser. If it is the fuser, you should be seeing 3 dark lines on the fuser film. Here is the picture about how the film looks like:

Changing the film usually solve the problem. However changing the film itself is difficult. You have to remove and basically disasseble the fuser, and change the film. However it is fairly cheap and if you decide you would like to save some money, here is the link available in ebay:

Or, simply search for 'P3005 Fuser Film' and you will find a lot.

Other than that, you can change the entire fuser. Please note that fuser for P3005 is not consumer installable part. You still have to take out some parts in order to change the fuser.

The parts are available from many parts supplier. Simply google 'P3005 fuser'. Usually around $100 for a refurbished fuser.

You can also recycle your old fuser and get some moeny! (about $15-$25 per fuser).

Good luck!

Have you tried the "clean print head" option in the HP Officejet Pro software on your computer? This will often fix verticle lines. But, it will use a lot of ink.

3 vertical dashed lines down every page

Hi there, I would assume that you are speaking about a laser printer, if this is the case you would have to take the printer in for a service and ask them to clean the primary and secondary corona wires.

A dirt corona wire can cause a vertical lines down the print job cause that part of the OPC drum is not being charged by the charge corona.
Could also be a dirty drum.

Hope this helps. :)
Please let me know.

Problem with vertical white line on HP laserjet 1020 printer.

there is probably toner on the laser. take a small vacuum cleaner and vacuum out the printer. DO NOT blow out the printer as it may scratch the mirror on the laser. Also take a cloth and some rubbing alcohol and wipe off all the visible surfaces inside the printer.

Printing problem

Vertical line is probably scratch in Toner/image drum or one of the erase LED bar lamps is out. Start by replacing the Drum and see if it is better. LED erase lamp assy is more expensive so I hope for you that it is the drum.

Saw this scratched tomer drum on a ton of HP I serviced while in Europe

Cheers!

Light grey vertical line printing on left side of paper used the cleaning cycle and line in now doubled There is a black vertical line down left side of the page. I used the cleaning page but the line is...

Hi there,

I believe there are 3 possible causes for this issue; toner drum, fuser or transfer roller - more than likely I would dismantle the printer and check for lines on the fuser. But just in case remove the toner and carefully release the flap to reveal the toner drum - if that is scored and the lines correspond to those on the print-out thats the cause.
