I believe I may have found the problem. It is jamming between the two rollers so i got a screw driver and took it apart and also removed the drum and the bendix that turns one of the rollers has some teeth missing therefore not turning the rollers as it should. Now i need to find that part. Any suggestions on how to find it???

The gear that is broken or missing teeth is it the one that is attach to the upper/ heating roller. It's about the size of a half dollar. If that is the gear, you can order it on-line. Just Google copier parts. You may see one site named Presion Rollers, just look on there site uner you make and model and it will have the fusing unit listed and you want the upper fusing drive gear. It is a very common gear to break.... It is made of plastic and it is under alot of heat and presure. Good Luck

Can not copy two sided.paper always jam

Check for some obstruction in the paper path where the paper stops. There can also be paper cuts in some of the sensor arms that may be giving hesitation delys csusing the jams. Jam codes in service mode will also help isolate the problem to a more specific area.

I have a Ricoh Aficio 2045 and whenever i try to copy double sided the paper jams in the copier but is fine when copying single sided. It always Jams at Point C in the photocopier?? Can anyone help me??

This jam problems are always very difficult to solve without seeing the machine!
Because i need to see the jam location or take a report to see where the paper jams.
you say that it is on the Point C, but that just helps a little.
I can tell you that you have a problem in the duplex door (but you already know that). It could be several things like; transport rollers, gates, solenoids... well, the best help i can give you is to advise you to call your technical support.
See you!

Hi, I was given a Brother MFC 7420 by a neighbor. There is a problem with the paper feed - it always jams at the feeding mechanism inside the rear door. Is this a serious problem such that I toss it...

85% of paper jams are caused by worn rollers . The rubber treads in the rollers wears down, making them smooth, so they won't pick up the paper. Sometimes, they are aged, which also gives them a smoother rounded texture, causing jams. The quick fix is to liven up that roller with a mixture of alcohol and soap. Damp a rag with the solution and wipe the rollers clean with it. That's make them more pliable and the paper jams will cease.

Here is the manual, see chapter 11, page 11-7

Paper Jam

If you are getting a lot of jams in the fuser then there is a problem in the fuser unit !
Is it jamming like an accordion? if Yes, then the problem is w/ the little fingers in the fuser, they are worn and need to be replaced. The rollers in the fuser should be shiny and smooth if not they ca also cause jams.
What black thingy are we talking about and where? if it's the fuser rollers ( where the paper exits and gets hot then try cleaning w/reg soap & water rag then wipe off.

Sharp-275 Not a simple paper jam

This sounds like you may have a bad jam detect sensor, there is a sensor on the exit end of the fuser on the right and the flag for this is located in the middle of the exit guide on the fuser this gives us most of those types of jams.

Hope that helps...

Paper jams when using staple option for more than 13 copies

Hi,

There is someting I would like you do for me, I will tell you how to enter service mode and retrieve a jam code, give me that jam code, I will look it up and tell you what it refers to and what it could be.
1) Start service mode. (Press the '*' (additional functions)key, '2' and '8' at the same time, and the * key once again.)

Press the copier tab > then down the left side select jam
You will see Date, Time 1, Time 2, L, Code, P, CNTR and Size.

Write down the last 5 jam codes, eg. 0201 or 0112, OF12, 0014 whet ever the combination, if you can take down the date, two times, cntr and size, would be helpful also.

Do not go changing other settings in service mode as you can seriously affect your copier and you will end up calling a tech anyway.

Please get back to me with the codes.
