My remote suddenly does nothing

Are there codes that can bring it back, I'm not sure why it died,the unit still works on it's own

    My remote was working fine but then it died I tried new batteries but nothing. Now what? This is the Bose remote. I can adjust from the unit itself but can't from the remote.

    I have the Bose 321 GSX System and my remote suddenly stopped working. I can use the system by accessing the buttons on the unit, but the remote doesn't work with it. I have changed the batteries but it doesn't seem to help. I could use any suggestions that anyone might have.

    The remote just stopped working. Changed the batteries and nothing. The red light on the remote does not light and it does not work the unit.

This may sound stupid but have you replaced the batteries in the remote? In either case if the remote is a universal remote (has different buttons usually across the top to select different devices) then the manual should give codes to reprogram it. If you cannot get it working with new batteries and reprogramming then the remote might have gone bad. If the remote does appear to be bad then I would just buy a new universal remote and program it for your equipment since they are not very expensive.

LENOX MINI SPLIT HAS A F8 CODE ON THE SCREEN
Cycle the power to the outdoor unit. F8 is a low or high line voltage fault. Not likely a real error if the unit has worked in the past. Possible power surge or something.

I have a lg smart tv and when I switch on the sky hd box the remote work very slowly and then dies when it warms up
Check you remote battery and the connection. You may have to bend the tabs back a bit to ensure a good contact.

Not sure if you are describing the TV or the Sky HD Box remote.

check to make sure you have power to unit. If you do you may have a internal power problem. Have you gone thru a recent lighting storm? If so see your home insurance co. For coverage to repair or replace unit.

Take off the battery, open the back of your remote, lift the circuit board, clean the green painted part with cotton balls slightly damp with rubbing alcohol as well as the black thingy behind your remote pad, let it dry put it back together, replace with a new battery and try if it works.

DVD PLAYER DIED ALL OF A SUDDEN. NO LIGHTS,NO POWER, NO SOUND. NOTHING. UNIT IS PLUGED IN AND WORKED FINE YESTERDAY.
Your probably got a blown fuse, You might want to unplug it pop off the cover and check the fuse. if its blown carefully take it out and bring it down to radio shack for a replacment.

3 Chamberlain liftmaster openers suddenly won't accept remotes farther than 2' from antennaes. I cycled power on one of the units, erased all remote codes and tried to add remotes back in one at a time...
With multiple units, the possibilities are few. One is weak batteies. I am sure you have tried new ones in the remotes.???

Another thing is interference from another source. These operate in a band above 300 MHZ. A strong signal COULD cause the remotes to have to be very close tot the receivers to overide interference.

Doorbell doesn't work
Have you tried to bring the remote (Push button) into the house and go to where the receiver is located and see if it works. It can be hard to see the battery polarity positions in the remote. Check to be sure that the battery is in correctly. If you cannot bring the remote into the house, try relocating the receiver to a receptacle closer to the entry. If all this fails, try buying a replacement remote (button) and matching the code pin settings.
