I can not use it as a webcam. I think It's because my windows 7, but, can ou recommend me a program that helps me?

Emachines em350 netbook has a built-in Webcam that located at the upper center of the screen. Its already program or install in the computer.

Yes, webcam is running on windows 7 also.

First, go to CONTROL PANEL then PROGRAMS click the UNINSTALL A PROGRAM then check if there are WEBCAM install then closed the folder.

You can also go to START then check if there are install program like WEBCAM.

I think this model usually ships with Windows 7, so if you click on the Windows menu in the lower left hand corner and type "cam" in the search box, it will display a list of programs that match.

Most laptop models that come with a webcam will have some sort of webcam or video capture program that comes up with this search. Depending on what you want the picture for, some sites allow for direct uploading from webcam (video or picture).

Which operating system that you use? Have you installed the webcam driver?

I assume you use Windows operating system. If you use Windows XP, you can check you webcam in My Computer right under Scanners and Camera section.

But if you use Windows Vista or Windows 7, Windows Vista and Windows 7 doesn't have any abilities to use your webcam directly like WIndows XP does. You need to install a program to check whether your webcam is working or not.
Since these programs are usually sharewares, I recommend you to try Touchless if you are just only checking whether your webcam is working or not (not to take picture or to have a chat, that need different program). The requirement is just you need to install .NET Framework which you can get here:

Hi, You can't do a direct update from windows xp to windows 7 you will need to perform a clean install. This means you should backup everything on your computer as when you install windows 7 this information with be deleted. I would recommend windows 7 home premium as the best windows 7 for most people as it has everything you will require. Windows 7 Ultimate is more expense but gives you nothing of note extra.

use the 32 bit explorer found in all programs your webcam is not 64 bit compatable.

windows 7 has a compatibility program built in for addressing those issues from the previous operating system(XP)

go to start and in the search window
type in compatibility
this program will help you by running the program to test its functionality,
it will bring up a list of programs and ask you to select the program your having issues with,
then it will give your operating systems and service packs to test against,
at the end it will ask you if you want to save these settings.Y/N?

If the program runs ok then save the settings and it should continue to work from there.

Shut down and restart should embed these settings ,
Test again for function,
If no luck run the program again

You say that your system is dual booting,why?
windows 7 leaves XP for dust,
remove xp its taking up valuable space on your hard drive and possibly interfering with your systems operations,

Normally the hard drive will only allow one operating system on it,even if you have partions.

which system is it going to back up?
normally it will write over the last backup you made and the new one replaces it,

its becoz windows 7 might not support drivers of your webcam, try reinstalling the windows 7 drivers for your webcam

try to install this device in win xp compatiability mode or recommended settings by windows 7 compatiability assistant
