Hi, On an incoming text , I've no way of knowing that I've received one, unless I go to the inbox and see a red star beside the message inbox icon. I have no tone, vibration, or message envelope in the top right hand corner whilst receiving a text. I've checked profiles and there's nothing obvious wrong.Incidentally, I've lost delivery notification also. As of a few moments ago I am not even receiving any more texts but at the moment I am able to send them.

go to the mesage tab and click options then search for the option on the sim mesages and when it opens delete all the messages in the sim message box and check whether any messages in the outbox

I'm also face the same problem with my nokia. this things happening when your memory card get corrupt. you can avoid this trouble temperally formating your memory card. after that problem persist change your memory card to a new one.

it means the message saved to your SIM card, not your phone.

Why am I receiving a memory full notification? Memory full warning notifications are shown once the SMS memory reaches 80% full, which is 80 out of 100 SMS.
The notifications show up every time on receiving a new message. On reaching 100%, "Memory full notification" message is shown and no new messages will be received until we make space for incoming messages by deleting some from the inbox.
Memory full warning notices are shown only if "Auto Erase Inbox" is set to Off in Messaging settings (Menu -> Settings -> Messaging).
If set to On, then these notices are not shown. By default this is set to Off.

Your inbox should show messages received. Make sure you have chosen to save your incoming messages

First try to clear your un needed texts, then check your multimedia messages.

hi there i think that icon is mms message, just try to go to your mms inbox message and open it or delet it.

remove some of the stored messages from inbox , out box, ect.

ok so i was looking into things for this problem..and it seems to be verrrry simple. The KE970 only supports 300 in/outbox messages b4 i deletes the next oldest 1 wen u receive/send. So the simple fix is....delete some text messages or just ignore the red message icon.(from wat i can tell all the red message icon is to warn u that ur messaging is full on ur internal phone slots/memory) Hope this helps

Follow this steps in the given order -
1) Switch off your phone
2) Remove memory card
3) Switch on your phone
4) Ask a friend to send you a message. Now you will hear the tone
5) Switch off, insert the memory card & switch on again
6) Ask someone to send a message again. It will work
