Need a manual for Elna 6003 Quilters Dream sewing machine

The owner's manual should have instructions how to replace the bulb, but sometimes that information is not provided. However, this link may be helpful:

Go to www.sewingmanuals.com and download your manual for $10. You can see the picture of your machine to know that it is the right one, and they use paypal, so it is safe to use.

The reason for the jam could be the fabric is thick and this causes the foot to raise to the point the the tension is open that the top thread is feeding erratically.

Another could be the bobbin area needs to be cleaned.

Lastly, it could be the timing needs to be adjusted and this means a trip to the sewing machine dealer for service.

There is a slide switch on the underside of the back of the free-arm. The feed dogs will not immediately raise when you slide it, the machine must make a full rotation for it to engage.

Something caught inside the machine and jammed the mechanism. It blew a fuse to protect the circuit board. A competent Elna or Janome Dealer should be able to get you machine going in no time.I don't know of any reason to have trouble finding parts for this machine.

Normally the feed dogs will come up on their own after the machine turns one complete revolution.
