No English language on DVD 's

Problem I think the DVD player works fine???, however some DVD movies have no English voices during playing of movie, up until then I hear the comentators comments, background sounds, even voices but when the actors speak, no sound. I switched the other language choices and they work but again when I play English 5.1 dolby "no speaking sound" , I understand there are Regional Codes but I cannot find them on the menu bars. Example I can play My Cousin Vinnie, My Bid Fat Greek Wedding, but cannot play anything else, Kill Bill etc.. Very frustrating! I can buy a new DVD player but I am not sure if the problem is in the player or the individual DVD movies. Please Help and Thanks.

Bought a new unit. The old unit was a surround sound system in which the previous owner removed the speakers. I wasn't aware of the problem but found out that it would not allow it to play on Dolby 5.1...It would only play DVD's on channel 2, therefore no english etc. Thanks for your help!!!

How to change audio on the movies on tv to English

The steps to change the audio language on a movie on your TV can vary depending on the TV and streaming service or media player you are using. Here are some general steps you can follow:
  1. Navigate to the movie you want to watch and start playing it.
  2. Look for the "Audio" or "Language" options on the playback screen or in the settings menu of your TV or media player.
  3. Select the desired audio language (in this case, English) from the available options. Some streaming services may have a separate audio track labeled "English" or "Original Audio," while others may have language options in the settings menu.
  4. If you do not see an option to change the audio language, try accessing the settings menu of your TV or media player and look for language settings. You may be able to change the default language of the device, which should also change the audio language of the movie.
  5. If you are still having trouble changing the audio language, consult the user manual or help documentation for your TV or media player, or contact the manufacturer's customer support for assistance.

My Denon AVRX3100 works fine with my Dish Network TV. The Panasonic DVD player (attached to either DVD or Blueray inputs) only has partial sound. The movie background music plays but not the voices.

Your denon amp amp does not match and work well
in some players for instance "Samsung" no pictures
and sound via HDMI input. Only replacing players
to another brand such as LG can fix the problem.

Tried to play our Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer for the holidays, and all of a sudden the movie will only play in Spanish. The DVD has a Spanish language version, but I hadn't used that option. There are...

Check the actual DVD player menu after movie starts there should be a language option there. Also there is an option on the TV (called SAP) which makes whatever plays through the tv into spanish make sure that is off while on the same channel your dvd plays on.

New DVD won't play.

Check the region code on the DVD player. Your other DVD player may not be sensitive to region codes (i.e. plays all regions).

The durabrand 1700

It could be the codec u use to encode the movie,
secondly could be a firm ware problem of your dvd player.
Other than this I can't think of any other reason. or just may be the type of recoreder u use or the recoding programe. If u had check these, then get another player
Sorry, this is all I can think of.
PS. the player firmware is the main reason to me.

Subtitles...

This could be a problem with a particular DVD media and not the player. The movie (or the program on the DVD) is recorder with default English subtitle. Have you checked it with any other movie DVD to see if it is the same behavior?
