Tablet sticks in the dispenser compartment

It might be helpful to know the model number of the dishwasher.

It is likely the detergent dispenser compartment lid has a faulty latch. This gets fixed by replacing the whole dispenser.

The most likely causes are the you are using a tablet in a gel coating but putting the tablets into the dispenser drawer when the dispencer drawer is damp, thus causing the tablet to stick inside the housing; or, if the dispenser drawer is releasing the tablet into the bottom of the cabinet then I would say you have a problem with your water heater. In which case you would need an enginner to come and replace the heater.

i would first call the company and get the price of a new dispenser then see if they have a kit to fix the dispenser.
then call a service tech and see what he would charge you to only put in a dispenser or to fix one with the kit. that will be the best advice because unless you can take down a door and release the dispenser it might not be worth the aggrevasion to try to do something that you might still have to get someonr else to do. unless you are pateint and mechanically inclened. if this helps let me know with a 4 thumbs up post

sometimes the dispenser doors are not designed for tablets, and they don't let enough water in to dissolve them....next time you wash; put the tablet in one of the silverware compartments....should do the trick. and leave the dispenser door for liquid detergents only.

I urge you to only use Electrosol or Cascade powder with your (or any) dishwasher. Most ultra-cheap powder will not clean effectivly. If the dispenser does not open with the powder inside, a service call is the next step.

is the dispenser opening,is there enough water in the dishwasher r is the yop spray arm blocked/not turning

remove the door skin and check the solenoid on the dispenser it may be open circuit.if no follow the wires back to the timer/pcb the fault may be there.hope this helps.

Dispenser door sticking. Run it a few cycles by putting the tablet in the cutlery basket.

I had this problem - the dispenser only opens if there are small items in the rack in front which don't come up to the same height.
