F05 indesit washing machine showing f05

Is this on Hotpoint or Indesit ashing machine? If so then error code F05 washing machines means the pressure switch has "jammed" on.

Check the exhausting pump, which is somewhere at the bottom of the machine.

This will probably be an f05 fault code, this indicates a blocked pump.

F05 means that the pressure switch shows full all the time:

F05 - Pressure switch jammed on full

The fault is usually fixed repairing or replacing the pressure switch. Before replacing the switch check for draining issues that can trigger F05 and clean the hose connected to the PS. The PS is located inside the appliance in the control panel or at the right side of the cabinet. The part is reached removing the screws holding the top and lifting the top. Power must be disconnected before starting.

Locate and remove the large black fastened to bottom of the drum.
Remove and clean plastic filter inside hose.
Remove hose onto pump, and check for blockage or obstruction here as well.

As is often the case, knowing the error code is one thing, but findng the cause is another because error codes often have several possible causes. The wording of the error code explanation suggests the pressure switch clicked on to register a water level, but when the water was drained away it remained on instead of turning off. I would guess there could be a blockage in the pressure system, or the pressure switch could be faulty. Also, if the water didn't drain properly it would cause the pressure switch to stay on too. Finally, the Indesit washing machines PCB's can give erroneous errors where the fault turns out to be with the pcb itself. This makes things very difficult if you don't have access to replacement PCB's to try.

Basically, I would keep an eye on the washing machine and try it again. If it reoccurrs then clearly it needs sorting, but if it doesn't it might have just been one of those things.

F05 means pressure switch jammed on full, firstly check that pump is working and that there is no blockage anywhere,
if it still does not work, then you are going to have to call an engineer.
