My 42 also went black, and the "vizio" logo in front indicates as if it is turned on, it clicks on and off, but just has no output on the screen, meaning not a black screen, just a dead, no image, even when the system has clicked on

I tried turning off, on, unplugging, letting it sit (kind of like a reboot wishful thinking), removed all connections in back, (nothing still, not even the blue screen) just nothing.

What a shame, I had the unit less than 6 months, and now this? I have work to do, and I can't get it done.

I cant connect my dvd player to my tv. Theres

If you connect the satelite to the tv, using the tv socket on the sat. and connect the dvd to the vcr socket on the sat. it should play through the sat. even with the sat. turned to standby.

I have a RCA XS Stero TV. I don't have remote. I connected DVD player right connections. But I am not getting any picture in the Screen. Actully it is showing Blue screen all the time. No TV picture also....

Sounds like you're stuck on..... Video 1 or Video 2 (whichever). If you can access your TV's menu at the front panel, you should be able to switch over fairly easy. Hit MENU. Using your VOLUME UP & DOWN buttons, Go to CABLE/SATELITE/ANTENNA, hit VOLUME UP or DOWN 'til it switches back to TV picture then hit ENTER. If you do not have an access panel in front but possibly have any other remote (cable or satelite or home theater, etc...) that can be paired with this TV and has an INPUT button, you can change the setting that way.

Hope this info was helpful. Good Luck!

Just got logik ldvr 1608 dvd but it cant find any

You need an aerial to tune the freeview.
However, to record from satelite you can connect a scart lead from the satelite vcr out to the dvd in and it will record vie the av "channel" on the dvd.
Depending on your location, regarding signal strength, you can purchase an indoor, boosted aerial to tune the freeview.
Also, if the scart connection on the dvd is a 2 way connection( allowing a signal to the tv as well as from the tv) you can connect the tv to the satelite and the dvd to the satelite only and the dvd will play through the satelite even when the satelite is off.

Video is black and white

Are you using the same SCART socket that you use for your other consoles or a different one? My SCART3 input on my Panasonic telly has two different modes - one which displays in colour, and one which displays in a sort of grainy black n' white. There is a purpose to it but I can't remember what it is. :-)

Anyway, you switch between the two by pushing the AV button and then hitting the colour button which corresponds to SCART3 a few times 'til you reach the correct setting.

It probably isn't that, but... y'know. Sanity check.

Tune your tele and check you've got it on the right PAL/NTSC setting.

Can i hook up to my satelite dish direct or do i have to go thru my receiver first. Thanks; Delmar [email protected]

The satelite dish will not pass-through the video/audio from your DVD player. You will need to find an open area (preferably DVD selector) on your receiver to input the DVD video/audio. Most satelite boxes are one way devices.

Satelite box --> Receiver (satelite input)--> TV
DVD Player --> Receiver (DVD Player input) --> TV

or

Satelite box --> TV
DVD Player --> TV

Picture problems

This could be an unshielded cable problem. Also magnetisam from speaker(s)(i.e. subwoofer) could affect signal from satelite antenna, or could affect satelite receiver if it's near.

Volume won't work in satelite mode

A few possibilities - try volume + on satellite box itself/reset satellite box

Are you using coax or RGB cables? unplug and replug composite or component audio cables if using those

Component Video inputs do not work

I started back in the day of tubes. A family would have one set and it would be a 19" black and white. There are different resolutions now. The components probably do work, but, they don't pass the 480i signal. The satelite converter's analog signal needs to be set to 480p and the DVD needs to be set to progressive if it does have that setting. If the DVD is not a progressive scan DVD, then, the only inputs that it will show on is the analog signal. Some of the dish converters have a switch on the face for changing the resolution. If yours doesn't then put it in an analog source and go to the menu and change it there. Then move it to the component input. Hope this helps.
