Go to hp.com/support type in your product printer hp psc 1410v choose the os vista whatever and download the complete software. Works real well should then connect.

I don't want test copies made everytime I turn my printer on.

Follow the directions thoroughly when printing the test page.

The test page will print every time when there are ink cartridge/alignment issues such as an empty cartridge.

How to check ink levels for hp 1410v

Hi,

You can use HP Solution Center to check ink levels.

You must have the full-feature print driver, which includes HP Solution Center, installed to use this method.

Open HP Solution Center
Click Settings , and then click Printer Toolbox
Click the Device Services tab, and then click the Estimated Ink Levels tab
