Check the hose going to and from your pump which is located on the bottom of your machine. You prob ably have a underwire preventing ytour pump from spinning.

My miele touchtronic w 4800 is flashing fault; drain. The clothes in the load washed weren't spun out and are heavy with water. I can't get it to operate again, what do I do and is there a fix I can do?

We have an W4800 which had the drain and water intake indicators flashing and we cleaned the drain filter. After, the indicators did not go away with a simple reset or unplug. By tilting forward, water came out and bingo, all came back to normal. Many many thanks to 42redcat (our hero for today).

Miele washing machine w 487 check drain and check inlet

Clean out the pump trap. If you are on well water or just have very hard water, your inlet valve may be becoming constricted as well, remove the fill hoses from the back of the machine and shine a bright light into the valve to see if the screens are getting clogged with debris: In this case, follow the instructions the computer is giving you.

Miele W1213 intake, drain and 3 - - - faults

Have had this since 2007 or 2008. Pain in the backside.
Fixed it by:
Cleaning drain.
Unplugging from power.
Tilting forward to drain water for 1-2 mins.
Made sure that the clear plastic light ***** in the rubber opening which located at the top was tight as it tends to get loose if you have an off-balance load.
Plugged power back in.
Boom, she started up.

This is a great washer/dryer, but it's expensive to fix if you need a repairman and it's a bit of voodoo if you need to do the above.

Poor quality wash from miele w2240 and washing smells stagnant. We use a good washing powder and softener. The machine is 7 years old. Should we buy a new one?

Hi

The smell usually comes when the washer is unable to drain water completely, you can run your washer at its hottest temperature setting with 1 cup of vinegar inside the unit. After this take off the bottom front panel and clean it completely, also clean the drain hose and drain pump filter, the smell should disappear after doing all this. Hope this helps...please post back for further assistance.

Miele Touchtronic W1213 Front Load Washer: The washer keeps adding and then draining water continuously. One time, the cycle ended and the machine continued to add water and drain endlessly....until I...

hi - If I remember correctly this particular series had a time related sequence built into the programme, whats happening is the timer has picked up the false readings when the pressure activates the switch.

Suggestions to look into - leave power off & turn water back on - does water run into the machine (faulty valve); turn power on initiate a cycle water runs, then turn power off - is water still running? (faulty valve)

From experiences on the field, theres a slim chance that the pressure tube has a hole in it from the vibrations over time. This effect will not create enough pressure in the tube to activate the pressure switch, the only other problem would be the pressure switch itself.

Hey there, i got a miele w4800 front load washer that stopped working all of the sudden. The buzzer is going crazy and the drain and intake fault lights are flashing. Any ideas of how i could fix this...

You have water in the bottom pan of the machine. grab it at the back and tilt it forward. the water will run out and it will start working again, but you will probably need a concertina hose. This is the hose that connects the detergent compartment to the wash drum.

We have a Miele W701. We just finished a load of laundry and the door won't click open. The electricity is on and I cannot see any other problem with the machine.

The most common cause for this problem, is the Electro Magnetic Door lock, itself. The part may cost about $170, new. However, you can open the door manually, from the bottom side of the washer. Other causes may be a defective "push button switch," or drainage problem. In a drainage problem, water sitting inside washer, won't allow the user to open washer door, until the water is manually drained out. Good Luck.

Water leaking

deafenatly sounds like a blockage or remove soap dispensor and check that there is no damage below it
ie a crack in the plastic allowing water to escape
