GE GSH25KGRB BB side by side light is on inside , but nothing else works. Not freezeing, no cooling, water, ice, or fan. We blew a circuit three weeks ago, restarted on it's own 24 hours later. Then two weeks later quit working again. Unplugged for 24 hrs then replugged in and waited 24hrs to see if it would restart on it's own, no luck this time.

SOURCE: U-LINE BCM95 NOT CYCLING

These units take a full cycle to get to the fill cycle, so you won't get ice on the first cyle unless you manually fill the tray when you first power it on. You may have some air in the water line and need to cycle a few times to fully bleed the air out. Also check the water inlet for debris in the filter screen using a small brass brush, then bleed out air -with water on- while tightening back hose connection avoiding need to bleed while cycling. SOURCE: ice maker stopped working

If you manually advance the ice and when the ejector blade reaches 10 oclock that when it calls for water. You should hear the valve come on. If not it could be a bad water valve. Part#2552A or you might want to doublecheck to see if your getting voltage there when the blade reaches 10 oclock. If no voltage then the water switch is bad.

SOURCE: Ice Maker frost and freeze where ice drops into refrigerator door

You need a service guy to look at it. It could be water leaking or a simple case that the flap isnt sealing and the ice melts and then freezes the flap open

GE GSS25WTGA BB

This could be a dozen different things causing this. Do you see ice build up on the back wall? Your freezer coil could be icing over and blocking fan air flow. This can be due to a bad fan, low freon.....

Water not coming from gss25lgmb bb

I have a GSH25JSRFSS GE refrigerator. Twice, the water line has frozen near the dispenser. Each time I used a hairdryer to heat either the side of the door where the water line runs and blew hot air up the dispenser. This last time, I took the plastic cover off the outside of the door (it clips on) and blew hot air into the small holes in the door that the outside grate clips into. This allows the hot air to get inside the door, and I heard ice from the frozen line drop. Subsequently, the water line worked. Two points: I did have water running to the line in the bottom of the refrigerator, so I knew it was an ice clog, and secondly, I took care not to blow hot air on the exposed wires inside the door.GKAZ

I have a ge side by side both the freezer and fridge will not cool off, we hear the fan but nothing happening

Hi,
Follow the steps mentioned below to solve the problem:
First remove the ice bin and look inside the mold of the ice maker to see if it is full of ice. If the ice sensing arm is down ( on position) and the ice maker is full of ice, there is a failure inside the ice maker and the ice maker should be replaced.
If there is no ice in the ice maker, look at the fill tube on the rear of the ice maker. If the fill tube is frozen up the ice maker can't fill.
You can defrost the fill tube with a hair dryer.
The water valve on the rear of the refrigerator supplies water to the water dispenser and the ice maker. Since the water dispenser is working, the only line that could be blocked runs up the back of the cabinet and attaches to the fill tube for the ice maker. The water valve could be bad and not sending water to the ice maker.
If the fill tube freezes again you should replace the water valve.
Hope this helps.

I have a Ge PSW26LSRDSS side by side the water line freezes

The water line keeps freezing going to the ice maker? The line in the freezer? Is there alot of ice build up around the fan because of this? If so, it sounds like an ice maker malfunction is the root of the problem, and that can cause evap fans to go bad.

Side by side refrigerator problem GSH25KGRB WW

I have the same problem with my GE fridge.  I inherited the fridge with the purchase of my house.  There is a coil located in the back of of the freezer.  Remove the wire shelves and remove the screws and remove the back panel inside of the freezer.  I can almost guarantee your coil is completely iced.  I just use a hardryer to remove the ice.  I need to perform this once every four weeks.  It's a bummer.

GE side by side with ice and water in door

This is a problem with my GE side by side also. It only happens occassionally and there doesn't seem to be any fix. I've had GE repair service here more than once. It seems that the insulation in the door is insufficient to keep the water line from freezing up. Small wonder GE is part of this awful financial mess.
