Taylor Y754-27 Soft Serve Ice cream machine

My Taylor Y754-27 Soft Serve Ice cream machine is very loud when one side is running. It has a new motor. Does the gearbox need grease or lubrication? or is it bad or what?

Gearboxes definitely go bad. The first sign is usually noise, I would describe it as a rumbling. The best way to determine if it's the gear box is:
1. empty and disconnect machine from power.
2. remove the freezer door and beater assembly
2. remove the rear panel - 4 screws
3. Remove the belts on the noisy side
4. Spin the big pulley and listen for the noise, you may want to remove the belts on the quiet side to compare the two.
I have a video that was shot to help change the hex coupler, but you would follow all of the same steps to replace the gear box.

Gearbox is sealed, I've never replaced one.check belts could be too tight, does it scream when you start it. check bearing at end of barrel sharp edge means needs replacing. check temperature of product disspensed on loud side could be too cold. adjust on board or needs new probe, inexpensive but a ***** to install.

Taylor Taylormate 168 Soft Serve ice cream machine not getting cold on one side?

Question edited for clarity.
Question moved from Cars and Trucks to a Taylor Soft Serve category.

These machines are so complicated and driven by electronics, the techs only work on these. There is basic troubleshooting in the Owner's Manual but nothing that leaps out as relevant. No Service Manual online :>( Service callI reckon, watch over his shoulder and ask questions.

I have a Taylor C713 Ice Cream Machine. IT has been working great until a few days ago. We had it in standby overnight and when we came back the next morning, the ice cream in one side was rotten from...

Those are symptoms of the mix refrigeration system being undercharged. You will need a refrigeration technician to add refrigerant.

In Taylor soft serve machines when the left side hopper (standing in front of the machine) is icing up and the right side hopper is not cold enough, the problem is low refrigerant in that system. It takes R134A.
